Michael Otten Receives Award Michael Otten '16, past Eminent Archon, has been awarded the SAE Foundation Dr. Charles A. Preuss Medical Award (Medical) - $2,000

Thomas Gremillion, ‘01, is Director of Food Policy with the Consumer Federation of America in Washington, DC. He oversees the research, analysis, advocacy and media outreach for the CFA’s food policy activities. He graduated from Harvard Law School in 2007 and also obtained a Master of Arts in International Studies from the La Universidad Andina Simon Bolivar in 2004. Alumni Notes Campbell Powers ‘14 Campbell is an Associate Manager, Inbound Sales with Lanyon in Dallas. His company created the industry's leading cloud-based software for managing corporate meetings, events and travel programs. Campbell completed his B.A. in Economics from the Darla Moore School of Business. At Carolina he was a member of the Capstone Scholars Program and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Found Alumnus - Allen Hughes '89 Allen is Counselor General for Leadership Advancement and Mission Stewardship for Anglican Mission in the Americas in Charleston. The Rev. Dr. Canon Allen Hughes serves as Canon Missioner due to his capacity for intuitive organization thinking. He has helped many Anglican Mission churches, networks, and church leaders. In Memoriam—JP Gamble ‘51 Julius Pendergrass (J.P.) Gamble, Sr., 87, of Lan e, SC died peacefully on Thursday, November 19, 2015 after a brief illness. He was born on April 11, 1928, to Samuel Wayne and Theresa Register Gamble in the Gourdin community near Lane, SC. He was educated in Greeleyville schools and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in business administration in 1950. At USC, he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He was an avid Gamecocks fan throughout his life, and enjoyed attending their football games and flying to their bowl games. After college, he returned to the Gourdin area to join his father on the family farm. In addition to farming, he would later work for the US Department of Agriculture and in the Williamsburg County Economic Development Office as Economic Development Director and Grants Administrator. He married Eunice Temple Ford of Holly Hill, SC on July 18, 1952, and they celebrated 63 years of marriage together this summer.
