- Establish standardized space design standard for WeWork Greater China, tailoring to local needs. Define programming percentage, design aesthetics, and furniture specifications with a focus on end-user perspectives. Collaborate with the cost department for effective project cost control.

- Demonstrate leadership by optimizing the design team's efficiency through process improvement and digitalization. Ensure the team has the necessary capabilities for achieving design strategy goals, participating in recruitment, coaching, and providing growth guidance.

- Treat each community building space at WeWork as an independent data repository, aligning physical space details, products, financial metrics, and resident member information with the Building Information Model (BIM). This information closed loop guides future product upgrades and iterations.

The overall look & feel of the interior spaces is Bright & Clean. Detailing of the material specs were to echo the message of simple elegance; using combinations of Oak, white concrete block, traditional concrete terrazzo, & traditional Taiwanese patterned glass.

The starting point was to create a sense of timelessness. Adding more traditional elements in detailing, such as the metal window frame, black & white mural and much much more showcased in art and graphics. Space is further elevated by the furniture selection from its joyful color combinations, a mint green modular sofa in the 17F (MMF) with paired with orange-toned accessories emphasizing the design concept of “Summer Breeze”. Another highlight of the space is the variation and amount of plants to give a sensory experience beyond sights. Taiwan, the island known to be ‘Formosa’—Latin for full of natural. People will be surprised when they visit WeWork, just like when the first pioneers discovered this treasure of island.

Xi’an, the capital of Shaanxi Province, boasts of a rich and colorful past. With a history of over 3,000 years, it is regarded as one of the four greatest cities of ancient civilizations, along with Athens, Cairo and Rome. As a result of the large number of historical sites, including the most famous Terracotta Army, tourism is a key component of the city’s economy and an efficient transport system is in place. The Xi’an Xianyang International Airport is the largest airport in Northwest China and a six-line Metro system is under construction.

Swissôtel Xi’an will be located in the heart of phase one of China’s second national civil aerospace industrial base. The base is under construction and will be completed by 2016, expecting to attract over 300,000 residences and over 30 medium to large scale enterprises. 5 km away, the Qujiang New District is an important cultural and residential hub, also housing the Xi’an Qujiang International Conference & Exhibition Centre.

ELEVATION DESIGN

The design strategy for this project, in order to create the landmark hotel tower of Xi’an Aerospace Base, we use a modern classic timeless design language, and play with the relationship between solid massing and void massing.

A clean and concise edge the vertical louver glass curtain wall of the bar and the modern aesthetic design elements bring to the overall appearance of this hotel towers, air restaurant, located at the top of the tower, designed to use the horizontal lines of the elements to create a stand the surface visual focus. Group room facade echoes the design elements of the overall tower near the banquet hall, a simple L-shaped design vocabulary of design, inlet side, glass curtain wall with the terrain to raise up to form a perfect perspective slash on a human scale, more visual impact.

The curved building layout represents the spirit of resort hotel; it is located close to the ocean front to maximize the view and creates special experiences for the guests. It cantilever over the pond, which links to the villa area. The other wing is located in the back and provides quiet guestroom, which has the same ocean front view.

All rooms are single loaded. The atrium connects the two buildings and serves as the center piece of the hotel. Retail, restaurants and conference center are easy to reach form the reception..
