Goddess Durga, the Mother of this Universe The world’s most Supreme Power and force, To the wicked, with a furious menacing form She drives away evil from the darkest realms.

She is our guardian, who can combat any evil, She is the protector of Dharma, averts any peril; The demonic forces tremble and run for safety But cannot escape Her Divine Wrath, it’s a reality!

A Shakti Devi, usually depicted as riding a lion, The Omnipotent, even empowers the creation; With Eight arms, each holding a special weapon, She saved the three worlds from buffalo demon.

‘The Mercy Incarnate’ to those who worship her Durga! She protects them from crisis and danger; She feels pleased with a right intent of worship That’s meant for the welfare and well-being of all.

With steadfast faith, let us worship the Goddess Let us give priority for the realization of happiness; The Guardian of this World;- too is our Guardian Let us reverentially worship Her. Be a real human.
