LOUNGE PARTY HALL

primary elements of every “party-space”. Can be found on every music-club-event.

reorganization of such primary elements into complex objects.

The “podium” works as a corridor, enabling connections. The “wall” works as a surface of visual projections.

Thw whole idea of “LOUNGE PARTY HALL” comes from my dissatisfaction with majority of spaces that host music events. Especially it comes to the music clubs giving their events outdoors. The golden era of music clubs gve birth tto unic places. These uniqueness lies also in the spatial hierarchy. Every succesful club has “little angles” - places where people tired of music have a rest, or some compony is eager to have a talk. These “angles” are intermidiate step between “music-public-space” and “private space”. These spaces enable new social opportunities and make a party not just a music-box, but a far more complex social system. In this project I tried to present such structure that can be example of such hierarchy of space, music and society.

The hidden structure of the “wall” makes the whole system safe and stable.

The structure consists of strong frames and “covers” attached to them. The frames are organized into the raw, so that they work as some kind of arcs, providing the corridor shape.

CONCERT HALL Situated in the heart of Moscow historical centre new concert hall emphasises both contemorary attitude and historical respect. The very idea of spatial distirbution and functional disposition derives from the actual need and understanding of the surrounding.
