The Bank of America Summer Bridge program is a free residential program for select accepted students who live in the greater Charlotte area.
You’ll live on campus for the 2.5 weeks leading up to welcome weekend, participating in workshops and activities that will prepare you for college. You’ll also meet fellow incoming students and explore the campus and city of Charlotte!

• Peer, staff and faculty mentors in the program offer individualized guidance for your transition to college.
• Receive stipend funding for your first year at JWU after successfully completing the program and other requirements.
Eligibility Requirements
• Reside in the greater Charlotte area (within approximately 75 miles of Charlotte)
• Apply to and be accepted by JWU
• File your 2025-2026 FAFSA
Students must be prepared to commit to the full 2.5 week program.
