0 Kate Winslet have been an ambassador for elegance for quite some time for Longines Watches. The Oscar winning actress collaborated with Swiss Watch maker to create 5 limited edition timepieces, inspired by the Flagship Heritage collection which then will be auctioned, benefits of which will go to Golden Hat Foundation, an initiative by the Kate Winslet working in field for theautism. Not only this but the buyers will be receiving their watches by the actress herself in the later period.

Specifications of flagship heritage luxury watches to be auctioned During her visit to Swiss Watchmaker’s headquarter in Switzerland last year, she chose the dial, case and strap of the watch. Total 5 pieces have been produced in gold named after her out of which model number 2/5, 3/5 and 4/5 will be auctioned for charity, whereas 1/5 is with the Longines Museum and 5/5 with Kate Winslet.

The three other 18K Gold Edition luxury watches were up for auction at a starting price of 25,000$ with increment of 500$ thereby. Housing a Swiss self-winding mechanical movement, the Caliber L609 (ETA 2895/2), each is numbered (as explained earlier. The watch also has Winslet’s signature on the caseback, which also features an engraving of the brand’s emblematic Flagship.

The watch comes with 35mm dial and offers 42 hours of power reserve. It displays the hours and minutes as well as the seconds via a subdial at 6:00. The hands are yellow Dauphine with SuperLumiNova® and there are four Arabic numerals on the dial, along with 8 indices. The luxury timepiece is also water resistant to 30 meters. The watch was unveiled to the world at an event in the Longines store in Paris in June, with Winslet present at the event.
