WE NEED YOUR HELP FOR THE NOVEMBER EDITION

By Randy Capps

I know it’s hard to believe, but we’re in the home stretch of 2021. I know it’s a little early to be discussing the holidays, but in the world of magazine publishing, I really have no choice.

Besides, thanks to a medical procedure I had last December, Christmas 2020 was a bit of a blur to me.

Nevertheless, we want to do something a little different for the November edition, and as with most things we do here at JNOW, it’s better when you all play along.

We’re looking for your best holiday recipes. We’re talking pies, cookies, cakes and anything else for the dessert table.

But we’re not picky. We’ll take a recipe for a tasty side dish, some notes on your best fried turkey (mine’s pretty good, too) or you might even want to spill a family secret (my mother-in-law makes a mean macaroni and cheese casserole).

Anyway, type up the recipe and send it to us at hello@ johnstonnow.com no later than October 8. We’ll choose the best ones for publication in the November edition. And, if you happen to have a family photo of someone enjoying that recipe, send it over, too.

Think of it as a way to get into the holiday spirit a little early. Me? I’m already there.

I’m just looking for a few new ideas for my dinner table this holiday season.

Email your Thanksgiving recipes to Hello@JohnstonNow.com.
