Property from a Distinguished Private Collection

.

Introduction I am delighted to introduce a collection which takes in some of the foremost pioneers of Modern British art. Assembled with an exacting . eye, the collection ranges from the artists of Scotland including Alan Davie, William Gear and Eduardo Paolozzi through to the celebrated artists of Cornwall such as Terry Frost and Peter Lanyon. From the enlivened surface of Lanyon’s 1950s Yellow Construction to the mystical power of Alan Davie’s Red Man’s Sepulchre, the quiet minimalism of Ian Davenport’s early Poured Painting to Joe Tilson’s modern rendering of Ancient Greek myth, the collection as a whole reveals the collector’s love of colour and dynamic composition.
