Popup Domination 2.0 was launched on September 28, 2010, and it has arrived with new features and enhancements. So what is PopUp Domination? Well, it is a WordPress plug-in from Michael Dunlop and James Deer that helps you create email opt-in forms. It is, according to the creators, designed to greatly increase your visitor subscription rate on your blog site. The earlier version of PopUp Domination offered the following features: 1. A simple, easy to install and use WordPress plug-in to facilitate email list building for bloggers. 2. Compatibility with most, if not all major email autoresponder services (e.g., Aweber, iContact, GetResponse, MailChimp). 3. A lightbox pop-up that could not be blocked by pop-up blockers. 4. Four (4) professionally designed themes, fourteen (14) color combinations, eight (8) "call-toaction" button colors, template fields and four (4) list points to customize the design of your lightbox pop-up opt-in form. 5. Two (2) options for scheduling the display of the popup (that is, after a set number of seconds after your blog site is displayed, or after a set number of days has elapsed). So, what is new with 2.0? In addition to all the features that came with the initial release of PopUp Domination, here are the new features and enhancements from 2.0: 1. I don't recall a community-powered support forum for the initial release of PopUp Domination, however, there appears to be one now for the new version. 2. The delayed pop-up setting has an option to be displayed after a set number of page impressions has elapsed, in addition to the original two options, and now there is even an exit popup option included. 3. Three (3) more professionally designed themes, so now you have a choice of seven (7) themes to select from. 4. You can now select where to display the pop-up on your blog site, based on Pages and
Categories. The user interface (UI) of the WordPress plug-in... There are a total 8 tabs on the WordPress plug-in for the PopUp Domination 2.0 UI, of which 7 tabs deal directly with the design, development and display "behavior" of your lightbox pop-up optin form. Here's a fast run down of the tabs: 1. Look and Feel - This is where you design your lightbox pop-up opt-in form. You are presented with 7 form themes, 14 color combinations, and 10 "Call-To-Action" button colors to work with. 2. Mailing List HTML - Your email autoresponder set-up is performed on this tab. You simply copy and paste the web form's HTML code generated by your autoresponder into the provided window, and PopUp Domination will take care of the rest. 3. Template Fields - Here you will able to add/edit the text and possibly insert a graphic image (e.g.,.jpg of ebook cover) that will appear on your opt-in form. However, it will vary since you will have 7 different themes to work with. In general, you will be able to enter text for the Heading, Name/Email address fields, for your "Call-To-Action" Button, and Footer Security Note. 4. List Points- You can add up to 4 bullet points to show-case your offer, etc. on your opt-in box. 5. Schedule - You can set various scheduling options to display your lightbox pop-up opt-in form, and you can also specify the blog site locations to display them. 6. Preview - You can view your lightbox pop-up opt-in form before going live on your blog site. 7. Promote - You can promote this product, PopUp Domination, with your ClickBank account nickname. 8. Advanced - This tab is reserved for those who know their way around CSS. If so, you will be able to edit the CSS of the theme files to further customize your lightbox pop-up opt-in form. So there you go, a whirl-wind tour of PopUp Domination 2.0's features. My final thoughts... PopUp Domination 2.0 continues the tradition of its predecessor, by being a quality product, a premium WordPress plug-in, and an easy way for bloggers to start and build their email list. Not to mention the professionally designed themes, the easy to follow and well-designed UI of the WordPress plug-in, and a responsive tech support along with a support forum. Please keep in mind that there are a number of variables that can affect the frequency and rate of your email opt-ins, such as the number of visitor traffic, type of visitor traffic, the content/value of your blog site, as well as your "offer" in return for the opt-in... just to name a few. However, if you are a blogger, interested in building your email list, then you may want to consider making PopUp Domination 2.0 part of your list building tool kit.
