Turning a Slide Show into a Multimedia Presentation A PowerPoint 2010 slide show can be more than just a collection of slides. Breathe life into your slide shows and turn them into multimedia presentations with these tools: Playing transitions between slides. On the Transitions tab, choose a transition in the Transitions gallery. Y ou can make slides fade in, glitter, flip, or rotate as they appear. You can also decide how fast or slow transitions occur and play a sound during the transition. Animating a slide. On the Animations tab, create an animation for all or parts of a slide. A graphic can spin around, fade in, or fade out. Text can grow to a larger font size or change fonts. Items can arrive from different directions. Playing music and voice narrations. Click the Audio button on the Insert tab to make your PowerPoint presentations sing. I f you have a microphone, you can record a voice narration that plays along with your slides and enables you to give a presentation without your having to be there. Playing video. Click the Video button on the Insert tab to turn your PowerPoint presentation into a mini-movie theater. Drawing on slides. As you give your presentation, click the Pen button, choose a pen or highlighter, and draw on-screen. D raw to underline words or draw check marks as you hit the key points to make a presentation much more lively. Delivering your presentation as a movie. On the File tab, choose Save & Send, and then choose the Create a Video command to turn your PowerPoint presentation into a WMV video file.
