Is Instant Coffee Bad for the Industry?
Today, K-Cups are becoming the new trend in the coffee industry. So many people are opting for using a Keurig machine instead of the traditional coffee brewer. Thanks to this, a lot of people are wondering what this means for the coffee industry as a whole. Will it have a negative income on the market or will it only help?
The coffee industry can breathe a deep sigh of relief because kcups will only spell out more revenue and success for the coffee industry. One of the many reasons that so many people prefer using a k-cup over other coffee means is because of how fast and convenient it is. When you make instant coffee, you get the cup of it in mere seconds. All you have to do is put the k-cup into yourKeurig machine and select the size cup you want and that’s it. There is nothing more to it. It’s so simple.
Besides that, most people like to drink k-cups because you’re not required to brew a whole batch of coffee. Instead, you can just make one cup. This is especially helpful for those people who have differing tastes in their household. For instance, let’s say you’re craving a cup of caffeinated hazelnut coffee while your spouse can only drink decaf pumpkin spice coffee, you can each get what you want. In the past, with a regular coffee machine, one of you would have had to compromised. Now, you can just make your own k-cup, satisfying each person.
K-cups are also made in so many different flavors. From french vanilla to butter toffee, there is something here for everyone. Not only the flavors, though, k-cups are also made by various big corporations. Some of the major brands that have their own k-cups are Dunkin’ Donuts, Starbucks, Cinnabon, Snapple and Gloria Jean’s. That means you can get your favorite coffee business’ coffee without even having to leave your home.
However, because of all these pros, this does mean that the coffee industry as we once knew it will be forever changed. Before when people wanted coffee, there were no second thoughts. They made a simple pot of coffee for the whole household. Now, they are opting for k-cups instead. That means there is going to be less of a demand for traditional coffee machines and cans of coffee beans. With these changes, the coffee industry will have to adapt to the new times.
