Swarm Space Formal configurations are learned through experience rather than pre determined by the architect. Using infrared and pressure sensors it records how long people occupy the bench, where they sit on the bench, and current weather conditions. Multiple benches are connected through a network that communicates learned responses and anticipates environmental conditions. When a high density of people is relayed through the network the benches go into swarm mode, mobilizing through pedestrian networks toward the crowd.
Weather Watch
Designed and built using Grasshopper, Firefly, Arduino and a laser cutter. Weather Watch monitors RSS feeds and actuates in response to real time data. Allowing owners to both feel and see virtual data, in a distributed network of information exchange.

Rapid Type mix prefabrication with the current trend of mobile food trucks. We built the first prototype, Rapid Type: A Mobile Coffee platform, in the Fall of 2010. donation of Alpolic, a unique aluminum composite material manufactured by Mitsubishi Plastics, Inc.push the material as far as possible within the limits of currently available CNC fabrication technology.Rapid Type is a fullservice mobile sales platform that offers high-design, ease of assembly, and full mobility. The project combines the best of prefabricated building construction mixed with the financial vitality of the food truck movement.

MA&C The museum of Architecture and the City weaves togethers two contradictory site conditions: Public, slow areas vs private, fast moving street conditions. These conditions are characteried spacially by compressed, private spaces vs double height, slow, public spaces. These elements are extruded from the streetscape into two separte programatic areas of the museum which are then folded into one another to create new interstitial zones.

Japantown 2.0 Module Shift Creates Balcony And Circulation Zones Modules New balcony & circulation zones
This high density commercial and residential site uses the aggregation of module to create a datum which is then ‘pushed’ and ‘shifted’, providing variation in order to achieve dynamic spacial and lighting conditions.
Furniture
My designs strive to develope an understanding of the materials. These projects explore the complexity of wood by illustrating and bringing together some of its contradictor characteristics; the organic, soft, curvaliniar elements Vs the manmade and rectaliniar.
