Humans tend to blink on average around 22 times per minute. During computer use that number can fall in the region of 4 to 6 times per minute.
how it works The software works in conjunction with your webcam to monitor blink rates. If you adopt a poor blink rate or incorrect posture ublink will generate reminders based on your requirements.

Desktop setup is made easy with the included ublink measuring tape. Monitor display distances, chair heights as well as keyboard positions can be quickly and easily adjusted. The measuring tape is ideal as a quick reference tool. Visual markers indicate the recommended computer setup distances.

The dock updates in real time to display your average blink rate. The â&#x20AC;&#x2DC;blink counterâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; displays the users average blink rate per minute in an optional widget.

A selection of desktop screensavers can visually dry up if your blink rate falls below the recommended average. The wallpaper becomes lush and vibrant again with high blink rates or by taking a break. Warning messages can be displayed to alert you your current blink rate. Prompts can also be given to encourage you to take regular breaks.

The ublink software is capable of allowing you to quickly and easily monitor your seating posture, blink rates and viewing distances. Hourly, daily, monthly and yearly statistics can be compiled if desired.

The â&#x20AC;&#x2DC;blink boxâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; displays whether your blink rate is high, medium or low. It works by displaying a coloured outbounding box around the active window to indicate your current blink rate. Warning messages can be displayed to alert you of a fall in your blink rate. Prompts can also be given to encourage you to take regular eye breaks.

The software is completely customisable to your individual needs. Reminders can be automatically generated to inform you of an incorrect seating position as well a fall in your blink rate.

20-20-20 Follow the 20-20-20 rule. Every 20 minutes, take an eye break and look 20 feet away for 20 seconds. This will give you a chance to blink and produce some tears and will give your eye muscles a chance to relax.
