LETTER FROM YOUR LTG|

Howdy! This past month was fabulous! I

am so proud of yall and cant wait to see what these next few months hold for yall. So far we have been pretty consistent with our meeting dates and events as a division. I really want to start seeing each club start participating, hosting meetings and events. This is crucial to this year and growing as a division. I have seen growth in many of yall and want to continue to see it in others. If you ever need help setting up meetings, hosting events, etc. Please contact me. This upcoming month has lots of fun and important things that we can attend. Including our district wide training that EVERYONE should attend, our divisional service day, social, and more. Make sure to contact me to set up a club visit, as well as a monthly call. The monthly call sign up sheet should be filled out by you, it's located in the update I sent to yall. Lets make this next month a great one! Yours in friendship and service, Jonathan Perez Lieutenat Governor of Division 1

REPORTING| Last month was a great month for reporting. We had 7 out of 10 schools report. If you were one of the clubs that did not report please contact me ASAP. If you did report Good Job! There are a few things to remember for next time. When it ask for "Club name" please put your School name and not "Key Club." Please make sure to put "1" when it ask for your division. DO NOT put "Division 1," because I will not get a copy. Another thing that each club should be doing, is submitting monthly newsletters and articles. If your article gets chosen for the "Tex-O-Key" your club can accumulate points, which can definitely add up. Y'all are doing great don't forget that all report, newsletters, and articles are due on the 5th.

DUES| As we all know dues are right around the corner. In order for everyone to turn in their dues on time, each club must come up with a way their club will collect dues. You can turn them in directly, mail them in, turin it in through an online payment system (if your school allows), and make a drive thru were students can come and drop off money. These are all super good ideas, but you must choose the one that best fits your club. Of course if your club comes up with a different way to collect dues, you can always do that. The MUC opens October 1st and if you want to pay early bird you MUST turn in your money before November 1st. If you ever have any questions, concerns, or problems with dues, please email or text me. MUC OPENS OCT. 1ST EARLY BIRD DUE NOV.1ST

SOCIAL DISTANICING| I know it's a part of everyone's routine by now but let's continue to keep yourself and others safe. When we go out and serve make sure to wear a mask, wear gloves, don't touch your face, and stay home if you feel sick. (I promise you there will be more service events after) With everyone returning to school in person, take extra precautions when you can't social distance, or when other situation arise. Make sure you mask is covering you mouth and nose for everyone's safety. Continue to advocate safe habits for everyone to see. Please stay safe and more ways you can fight through covid and serve as a club are headed your way.

Always be aware of the people around you and dont touch your face.

Be Smart about your decisions

Wear A Mask when you go out or when you cant social distance.

| MAJOR EMPHASIS More than 10 million kids enter a children's hospital like Cook Children's Medical Center across North America every year. Contact your local CMN hospital and invite a representative to a club meeting to see how your club can help during these scary times.

Since the 1940s, Key Clubs have worked with March of Dimes to make a positive impact in the lives of babies everywhere. Help support moms throughout their pregnancy, even when everything doesn’t go according to plan. You can help by hosting service projects, raising funds, and educating communities about the crisis of preterm birth.

UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to save children’s lives, to defend their rights, and to help them fulfill their potential, from early childhood through adolescence. They do so by communitybased services in primary health care, basic education, and safe water and sanitation. Visit the Unicef website to see how you can take action.
