3 Session Mini-Course with

Lecturer & Germany Expert Anette Isaacs

It’s a “HOPPY HANUKKAH” Party with award-winning children’s author Linda Glaser! The Steinberg Pre-School, Cohen Religious School, Gray Cultural & Learning Center, and the Youth Community invite all families with children ages 8 & under for Hanukkah songs, treats, candle lighting, and stories. Copies of Linda Glaser’s books, Hoppy Hanukkah, The Borrowed Hanukkah Latkes, Hannah’s Way, and more, are available in the Pinsof Children’s Reading Room. Books will also be for sale before and after the program. RSVP to the Steinberg Preschool Office: anussbaum@ nssbethel.org or 847-432-2830. Linda Glaser will also present to the Bet, Gimmel, and Dalet classes during Religious School at 4:15pm and to the Hey, Vav and Gesher classes at 5:35pm. Executive Director , Emily Muskovitz Sweet will provide a brief introduction on the Jewish Women’s Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago. There is no charge for admission. From beautiful Challah Boards with Shabbat engraved on the front and the complete Berakhah on the back and beautifully crafted Judaica by Gary Rosenthal to educational toys centering on the holidays from Kid Kraft, it’s all here.

The Rissman Family Kol Ami Museum presents Dreidel . . . Dreidel . . . Dreidel, an exhibition of over 80 dreidels now on display in the synagogue entryway.

Donations are now being accepted for the Annual Used Book Sale, January 30 –February 9, 2014. Bring in gently used books (secular and Judaic, adult and children’s) to the Kaye Reading Room of the Gray Cultural and Learning Center. Receipts are available upon request.

Paul S. and Sylvia Steinberg Pre-School Pre-School and Camp Registration is Underway! Registration for 2014 –2015 Pre-School and Camp begins for children 6 weeks to pre-kindergarten. Small and Tall Classes Register now for Small and Tall classes for children from birth to 18 months. These classes are for our youngest children. Parents and caregivers, together with their little ones, will join Eileen Goldberg, our early childhood expert, for the enriching experience for children and adults. Come have fun. Shabbat is Fun for Young Families! Join us for new Shabbat programming for Young Families with children from infants through second grade. Three special new programs are beginning this year: Shabbat Pray & Play February 15, March 15 & May 10 After our B’Yachad Family Service at 11:00am, stay for a special family “lunch” and playtime until 1:30pm.

Shabbat Open Gym December 7, January 25 (during the Beth El Shabbaton) & April 12 3:30-5:30 pm “Open Gym” program in the Grossinger Brickman Activity Room. Come when you can; stay as long as you like!

Jeans and Jammies December 20, February 28 & May 2 The whole family is welcome from 5:00–6:00pm as we celebrate Shabbat together. Program includes children’s dinner, activities, singing, and prayers.
