American Shorthair
- They can be found in United States and they are known for their gentle expression . - To compliment their solidly built body, these cats have large heads and full-cheeks which gives their face a sweet, open expression. - The male american shorthair cat can weigh up to 15 pounds, while the female can weigh up to 12 pounds.
- Their large, wide eyes are bright and alert and the eye-colour must be appropriate to the fur colour . Whilst a brilliant gold eye color is seen in most fur. Blue or odd-eyes (e.g. one eye yellow and one is blue ) are seen in white cats, green and hazel eyes are seen in tabbies and green to blue-green eyes are found in tipped fur

- They are quiet, and usually get along well with dogs. - American Shorthairs do not need too much grooming, brushing once weekly is usually enough to keep them clean - They come in more than eighty different colors and patterns, including calico, tabby and all white. Calico The under parts is mostly white.
Tabby A cat that has fur featuring distinctive stripes, dots, lines or swirling patterns, usually together with a mark of an M on its forehead.
Black Solid Nose and paw pads are black.
White Solid Eyes are either clear gold, deep blue or odd eyed.
Cream Nose and pads are pink, fur is a buff colour.
Bi-colour Black and white fur with a V shape on it’s forehead.
Tortoiseshell Mainly black fur with patches of unbroken areas of red and cream.
Shaded Silver Black outline around eyes and nose. Its head and legs have a level toning of silver.
