I saw a photograph of my family, my diary and my pencil case and I packed up. But I still thought WHERE I was going. France? Maybe London? A few hours later, I was outside. Leaving my family. All alone with no friends. Meanwhile I got onto the train. I felt nervous, scared and TERRIFIED that I would maybe never see my parents again! A lady introduced herself “We are going to Germany” she said in a very calm voice “Please do not worry.”As the train stopped, we were going around houses and the lady told the children where to go. After A while I ws exhausted. I was on a doorstep, crying. A woman and man were standing in front of me. They greeted me and Introduced themselves. They were Mr. and Mrs Brown I was a bit surprised. I thought they were going to be very frightening or scary but they were the exact opposite! I stepped inside the house and then sunlight shone through the window, uncovering some old photos of a young child slightly younger than me. I was curious about them but I was busy going up the stairs to the bedroom. It was a decent house. The living room was OK. I liked the bedroom and the kitchen was enormous. I just knew I was going to have a better experience in this place. A few days later, I was at a school and some of the evacuees were there too. I made new friends and It was great. It was better than my old school in Pompeii and I had a great time in my new one. Today my teacher Ms. Robin surprised me by telling me I got 100% in my maths test! When I got home, I told Mr and Mrs Brown! They hugged me and told me that they loved me. But I was still wondering about ONE question: WILL I EVER SEE MY PARENTS AGAIN?
