illness Helen Keller got the illness when she was only 19 months. The illness described as 'An acute congestion of the stomach and the brain'.The illness did not last a very long time but, it left her deaf and blind.

Anne Sullivan (her teacher) Anne Sullivan, a great teacher, could teach helen using brail. In 1894 Helen and Anne Sullivan moved to New York to attend 'Wright Humason School for the deaf.
Marriage and death
Anne Sullivan married John Macy in 1905. Anne Sullivan died in 1935 in a coma with Keller holding her hand.
Helen Keller's last years... Keller suffered a series of strokes and spent the last years of her life at home.On september she got the 'medal of freedom'. Keller wrote a total of 12 published books and a couple articles.
