I heard about this position through the Career Center database. My extensive organizational skills and interpersonal communication experience in various settings make me an able fit for this position. As specified in the listing, this job requires an attention to detail for the purposes of word processing, filing, and an ability to work autonomously. An important factor emphasized was the ability to organize effectively and assist patrons. Furthermore, experience using library databases was cited as a helpful skill. As my prior experience indicates, I am a strong candidate for this position. As the editorinchief of my high school newspaper, I was required to maintain a high level of organization to layout pages and prevent the publication of typographical and factual errors. I have established strong interpersonal skills by working and supervising different kinds of people; these skills allow me to both manage others as well as coordinate and follow specific instructions. Also, I have substantial experience using both Mac and PC computers, various basic programs, as well as advanced programs such as Adobe InDesign. As a frequent patron of both McHenry and the Science and Engineering libraries, I have experience navigating the libraries themselves and the databases. My dedication, organization, and enthusiasm make me a solid candidate for this position. I appreciate your consideration, and would be delighted to speak to you further. Sincerely, Jonathan Zavaleta
