ONE | SPATIAL [RE]MIX Re-thinking the production of Mixed-use Architecture in the Urban context Year: 2016 Description: The project thesis is a research into typology theories for the production of mixed-use architecture in the urban context through the methods of “analysis + synthesis” in design. The result are three experiments, with variance in scale and location within the chosen site, with the modalities of “living + manufacture + consumption”.

Design and Economics tested in a Mixed-use development Year: 2015 About: The project aims to establish the connection between design and economics as it relates to architecture in the form of a mixed-use development found in Avondale, Auckland. The project also requires students to work as a team, simulating the real life scenario of engaging a highly invested client to a very economically risky large scale development.

FOUR | PULLING, FLIPPING, CRADLING Public Library in Kingsland, Auckland Year: 2013 About: Proposal for a public library located in the urban context of Kingsland, Auckland. The design establishes a connection between the Kingsland train station and the main road of New North road. Aside from environmental factors on site, the main form driver of the project is the human interaction to a physical book - pulling, flippin, cradling. This concept influenced the general massing and structural form and seen throughout the proposal.
