gas generator
By tightening the activating screw, the gas generator drops into the electrolyte fluid where it starts an electrochemical reaction that builds up pressure (up to 4 bar/ 58 psi) and causes the piston to move forward. The lubricant is continuously injected into the lubrication point. When the lubricant cartridge is empty, the piston becomes clearly visible in the discharge indicator cap, showing that the lubricant has been fully discharged. The lubrication period is determined by different color activator screws (1, 3, 6, or 12 months).

The operation principle of perma FROST is identical to that of our other electrochemical lubrication systems CLASSIC and FUTURA. In addition, it has a special feature that makes it suitable for use in sub-freezing environments. It is the ideal lubricator for bearings, chains, linear guides and other system components used in cold stores, refrigerating machines and aggregates, and for lifts operated during the winter.

STAR VARIO Three different sizes for customized lubrication perma STAR VARIO is available in three different sizes: With a volume of 60cc, 120cc, or 250cc it is the perfect lubricator for different discharge volume requirements and periods. The user can select the discharge period (1, 3, 6 or 12 months) and the exact lubricant dosage required by the equipment, and easily set and re-set the lubricator on site. The operating status is constantly displayed via the LED function lights.

perma STAR VARIO consists of an exchange set (filled STAR LC-unit and battery pack) and an electromechanical drive unit with transparent cover. The drive unit can build up pressure to 5 bar/75 psi. Its operation is fully automatic, temperature independent and precise. The drive can be re-used and is therefore environmentally friendly. The STAR LC-units (Lubrication Cartridges) are made of transparent plastic and permit constant visual control of the amount of lubricant discharged.

STAR CONTROL PLC-controlled lubrication perma STAR CONTROL immediately supplies the lubrication point with oil or grease and works precise and temperature independent. The unique feature of perma STAR CONTROL is its connection to machine-control which also turns it ON and OFF. The main difference between the battery-operated STAR VARIO and STAR CONTROL is that the perma STAR CONTROL is directly connected to the machine's control unit. Power (direct voltage) and control come from the machine. The lubrication system only works when power is supplied by the machine. perma STAR CONTROL can also be operated in impulse mode: as soon as voltage is impressed, perma STAR CONTROL discharges the set discharge amount once. Before it will discharge again, voltage must be interrupted for at least 5 seconds and then impressed again.

Higher economic efficiency with PLC-control perma PRO C is a PLC-controlled multi-point lubrication system. Lubrication can be adjusted to meet the requirements of the machine that is lubricated. During extended downtimes of the machine, the lubrication system goes into a “waiting function” and does not discharge until the machine continues to operate. The function status can be monitored via a PLC-control system (e.g. warning lights) and is also displayed by the lubricator’s LED signal. perma PRO C with distributor MP-6 can be operated with two volumes (250cc and 500cc) and can lubricate up to 6 lubrication points. High pressure build-up (to 25 bar/360 psi) allows operation with long tubes.

NET Highend solution centrally controls and monitors up to 600 lubrication points perma NET is a lubrication system that connects several individual and independent multi-point lubrication systems with each other via a cable. Configuration and monitoring of the whole system is done centrally with the NET Control Center (NCC). Malfunctions, warnings, or necessary cartridge exchanges are immediately signaled by the NCC. perma NET can lubricate up to 600 lubrication points; each lubrication point with the required lubricant and the ideal amount. CWL (Crane Wheel Lubrication)

The perma CWL kit is an automatic lubrication system designed for the lubrication of wheel flanges on cranes. The set consists of a perma STAR VARIO with LCunit 250cc and the CWL applicator assy. The lubricator perma STAR VARIO pushes lubricant through a tube into the CWL applicator assy. The spring loaded applicator applies it to the wheel flange. When the crane wheel turns, the special lubricant is transported from the wheel flange to the side of the sliding rail. This reduces the wear on the wheel flange and extends the crane's operating time.

The OGL system is a special solution for applying grease to open gears. An elastic rubber applicator (paddle) is mounted between the teeth. The connected perma lubricator pushes grease into the rubber applicator. When the wheel turns, the paddle applies grease to the flange of each tooth. Since the OGL only applies small grease amounts, it is both economical and environmentally friendly. The no-wear and maintenance-free OGL system offers ideal lubrication for open gears.

Want to switch from manual lubrication to perma lubrication? We help you find the ideal solution for your application > Check location: For hard to reach or dangerous areas, you might need extensions or other accessories, which must be pre-filled with the lubricant being used in the lubrication system. Connections must be sealed.
> Check lubrication point: If your grease fitting is 1/8“, you will need a 1/4“ to 1/8“ adapter (perma units are 1/4“).
> Installing the lubricator: Activate lubricator and screw it into lubrication point hand tight. Observe operating instructions.
In general
Electromechanical singlepoint lubrication systems:
For every application the right lubricant
– If possible, install perma STAR vertically with nozzle down (always required for oil-filled STARs). Support flange is recommended. – Pre-lube all accessories and tubes (extensions, angles, etc.) with the same lubricant that is contained in the lubricator. – Remote installations require a grease line. We recommend a flexible hose (inside diameter at least 6 mm). – Select an installation position that is easy and safe to access, and protected from high pressure water jets, falling material, corrosive chemicals, strong vibration, and extreme temperature. – Insert new battery set (STAR VARIO) or connect to machine (STAR CONTROL). – Set code switch “VOL” on the drive unit (STAR VARIO / CONTROL) to the correct size of LC-unit being used. – Set code switch “TIME” on the drive unit (STAR VARIO / CONTROL) to the selected lubrication period. – To start perma STAR VARIO turn ON/OFF switch on the drive unit cover from position “OFF” to “ON”.
Every application has different ambient conditions: e. g. hard to reach location, strong vibration, extreme temperatures. perma offers the most effective lubricant for every application or condition.
perma offers a variety of automatic lubrication systems for various applications. You may choose electrochemical (CLASSIC, FUTURA, FROST) or electromechanical (STAR, PRO) systems. Both types require basic installation and operating guidelines.
Electrochemical singlepoint lubrication systems: – For first time use: Remove grease fitting at the lubrication point. If your grease fitting is 1/8“, you will need a 1/4“ to 1/8“ adapter. If your grease fitting is 1/4“, you can direct mount. Use a custom sealant. – When using an oil-filled perma CLASSIC /FUTURA/FROST, it is necessary to mount a non-return valve between lubrication point and lubricator. – Pre-lube lubrication point and all accessories (extensions, reducers, etc.) with the same lubricant that is used in the lubricator. – Look at the activator screw and check if it contains the gas generating pellet. – Hold lubricator with the opening facing down. Screw the selected activator hand tight into the bottom of the lubricator. – When the activator becomes hand tight, put a screw driver through the top ring of the activator and turn until the ring breaks off at the intended breaking point. – To ensure that the gas generating pellet has fallen from the activator into the lubricator, simply shake the lubricator to hear the pellet rattle inside. If you can hear a slight rattle, the lubricator has been activated.
