ANDRETTI WINERY 2010 Selections Series Merlot

$21

Winemaker’s Notes Good intensity with pleasing aromas of sweet cherries, rhubarb and plum that are made more intriguing with added hints of spiciness. A wonderful integrated and balanced wine on the palate that shows the softer tannins of Merlot without sacrificing mouth feel. There are enjoyable cinnamon and dark fruit flavors on the soft finish. Limited new oak is used to emphasize the bright fruit characteristics.

Other Notable Facts Only 971 cases were made for this wine. Also, it was recently featured in The California Wines Club’s wine of the month club.

ALC. 13.7% BY VOLUME

ANDRETTI WINERY 2011 Selections Series Cabernet Sauvignon

$24

Winemaker’s Notes This wine contains a combination of black fruit, blackberry and hints of spicy oak. The flavors follow the aromas with added hints of plum, cherry and coffee.

Other Notable Facts Andretti Winery takes its inspiration from the distinguished career of our namesake and founder, Mario Andretti. He shares our winemaker’s belief that wine quality comes first of all from the vineyard, and that each variety develops its unique flavors where soils and temperatures are ideally matched.

ALC. 13.6% BY VOLUME

ANDRETTI WINERY 2010 Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc

$28

Winemaker’s Notes The aromas are immediately striking with a classic array of Sauvignon Blanc including citrus, thyme, melons, stone fruit & a slight herbal character. A wonderfully balanced & full mouth feel with flavors that mimic the aromas. This wellbalanced wine finishes with a long, pleasant finish.

Other Notable Facts Our 2010 Sauvignon Blanc was sourced from our Estate vineyard as well as one of our longestterm grower partner vineyard in Yountville, just north of the winery.

ALC. 13.6% BY VOLUME

FOYT FAMILY WINES Foyt No. 67 Sonoma County Chardonnay

$22

Winemaker’s Notes The aroma of the wine is appealing and yet delicate with hints of pear, apple and peach as well as citrus notes of lemon, orange and perhaps tangerine with a touch of vanilla oak. This wine is best enjoyed with a variety of seafood, chicken and pork dishes or simply with a variety of cheeses.

Other Notable Facts The Foyt Chardonnay No.67 was named for the year 1967 which was very good to A.J. Foyt. That year, he won the Indy 500 for the third time, and two weeks later he also won the annual 24 Hours at Le Mans, the world’s most prestigious sports car race held in the Loire Valley of France.

ALC. 14.5% BY VOLUME

FOYT FAMILY WINES Foyt No. 77 Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon

$50

Winemaker’s Notes The wine is dominated by two flavors and aromatics of blackberry, dark cherry with a hint of cassis and licorice aromatics. The surrounding woodlands of Redwood, Manzanita, Madrone as well as white and black Oak trees influence the flavors of blackberry, cherry and a touch of blueberry. Served best with steaks, lamb chops, venison or cheddar bacon hamburgers.

Other Notable Facts In 1977, A.J. Foyt became the first driver to win the Indianapolis 500 four times, having also won in 1961, 1964 and 1967. Foyt remains the only driver-owner to win the Indy 500 in a car designed and built in his own race shop, securing his place as a true legend of motorsports.

ALC. 14.4% BY VOLUME

FOYT FAMILY WINES Foyt No. 39 Borden Ranch Riesling

$25

Winemaker’s Notes This wine offers rich aromas of mandarin and lemon rind blended with subtle notes of lychee and honey. Nectar-like the palate is brimming with flavors of citrus and pear. The intense fruit sweetness is offset by crisp natural acidity. Enjoy as an aperitif with smoked salmon, sushi or oysters; or as an after dinner accompaniment with dessert.

Other Notable Facts Years ago a young Texas boy dreamed to be the best race car driver ever. Through his incredible determination and dedication, and against all odds, he realized his dream. The year was 1939 and the boy on the label is now legendary A.J. Foyt Jr. in the first race car he ever drove. His story serves as testament to all of us to never give up on our dreams no matter our age.
