What would a New York subway station look like if a Native American hippie art colony were to move in? Bringing with them only what was once native to their desert home landscape. The colors the earth provided. The life the sun infused in their hearts. The landscapes that spoke to their creative eye and shaped their passions of art and home. In this move to the big city they’d pick up things from the city and they too would leave their foot print in the city subways, sharing and receiving who they are and their new found home. In this concept book I explore the connections two distinct and vastly unique cultures share. Native American themes and motifs in a New York subway station.
