Aiding Athletes is a nonprofit organization that was established in 2014 by Jordan Leatherman. Its mission is to enrich the lives of student athletes by helping athletes succeed on and off the field.

CEO Jordan Leatherman has a passion for student athletes that is demonstrated in all aspects of the organization. Leatherman’s goal is for student athletes to become well-rounded individuals who are competitive in their sport and the classroom.

After the Huddle

Coaching Clinics

Above the Par

The After the Huddle program takes place after practice when normal tutoring is not available. Students who attend After the Huddle are also provided a meal from a local restaurant. The tutoring that is available during After the Huddle:

Aiding Athletes hosts a coaching clinic each year to inform coaches about the latest technology, injury prevention and treatment and character building. All coaches who receive grants or assistance from Aiding Athletes are required to attend. The day-long event features experts and current coaches as guest speakers. Keynote speakers for 2014 include Bill Blankenship of the University of Tulsa and Jim Littell of Oklahoma State University.

Above the Par is a golf scramble located at the beautiful Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Okla. The fundraiser will be April 19, 2014. The golf scramble begins at 10 a.m. and will be followed by cocktails and a silent auction. Scott Brooks, coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder, will be participating along with Kevin Durant, Brandon Weeden and Rickie Fowler.

Volunteering

Giving Back

Aiding Athletes is always accepting volunteers to assist with the After the Huddle Program. Volunteers are needed to serve meals and provide tutoring. Aiding Athletes will also be in need of volunteers for their fundraiser, Above the Par, in April.

Aiding Athletes donates $500,000 in grants to local sports booster clubs, youth leagues, schools, and individual players and coaches. The grants can be used to purchase equipment, fund camps and activities. Grants are based on need.
