Walking, hills, countryside - why is it a big inspiration for me? I have always enjoyed being out in the open air, walking local hills, camping so it never surprises me when I have ideas for poems based upon the great outdoors. Living within Gloucestershire you cannot escape the natural surroundings. In this collection I explore the outdoor world in terms of feelings as well as trying to describe how the local area I walk inspires me to write the poetry that I do. After writing many poems of the past few years, I’m going ‘Back to the Hills’ as this is where my poetry enjoyment lies best with me. Enjoy. Poet Jordan
