GIN RICKEY The Rickey is a highball drink made from gin or bourbon, half of a lime squeezed and dropped in the glass, and carbonated water. Little or no sugar is added to the rickey.

Main alcohol:

Gin, Rye whiskey, Bourbon whiskey Sparkling mineral water,

Ingredients: Half of a lime squeezed and dropped in the glass, 2 oz Bourbon, Rye whiskey or Gin Preparation: Combine spirit, lime and shell in a highball or wine glass. Add ice, stir and then add sparkling mineral water. Served: On the rocks; poured over ice Standard garnish: Lime half shell Drinkware: Highball glass

MARTINI The Martini is a cocktail made with gin and vermouth, and garnished with an olive or a lemon twist. Over the years, the Martini has become one of the best-known mixed alcoholic beverages. Main alcohol: Gin Ingredients: 1/3 oz (2 parts) Dry vermouth, 2 oz (12 parts) Gin Preparation: Straight: Pour all ingredients into mixing glass with ice cubes. Stir well. Strain in chilled martini cocktail glass. Squeeze oil from lemon peel onto the drink, or garnish with olive. Served: Served: Straight (or on the rocks) Standard garnish: Standard garnish: Olive, Lemon twist Drinkware: Drinkware: Cocktail glass

MINT JULEP The mint julep is a mixed alcoholic drink, or cocktail, consisting primarily of bourbon and fresh mint.

Main alcohol: Bourbon whiskey Ingredients: 1 teaspoon Powdered sugar, 2 oz. Bourbon whiskey, 2 teaspoons Water, 4 Mint leaves Preparation: In a highball glass gently muddle the mint, sugar and water. Fill the glass with cracked ice, add Bourbon and stir well until the glass is well frosted. Garnish with a mint sprig. Served: On the rocks; poured over ice Standard garnish: Mint sprig Drinkware: Highball glass

MOJITO Mojito is a traditional Cuban highball. Traditionally, a mojito is a cocktail that consists of five ingredients: white rum, sugar, lime juice, sparkling water, and mint.

Main alcohol: Rum Ingredients: 6 leaves of Mint, 1 oz (3 parts) Fresh lime juice, Soda Water, 1 1/3 oz (4 parts) White rum, 2 teaspoons Sugar Preparation: Mint sprigs muddled with sugar and lime juice. Rum added and topped with soda water. Garnished with sprig of mint leaves. Served with a straw. Served: On the rocks; poured over ice Standard garnish: Sprig of mint, Yerba buena Drinkware: Collins glass

SIDECAR The Sidecar is a classic cocktail traditionally made with cognac, orange liqueur, and lemon juice. In its ingredients, the drink is perhaps most closely related to the older Brandy Daisy

Main alcohol:

Brandy

Ingredients: 1 3/4 oz Cognac, 2/3 oz Triple Sec, 2/3 oz Lemon juice Preparation: Pour all ingredients into cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake well and strain into cocktail glass. Served: Straight up (without ice) Standard garnish: None Drinkware: Cocktail glass
