THRIVE SMALL SCALE RETAIL GROUP PROJECT ABOUT THE PROJECT: The purpose of this project was to create a retail store from an already existing building. My partner and I performed a site analysis of the building and made design choices based off of our findings. CONCEPT STATEMENT: To design a retail space that encourages the Tulsa community to engage with the Cherry Street neighborhood through the incorporation of outdoor elements into the interior environment. Thrive strives to bring the outdoors in through the use of materials, furniture, and abundant greenery creating a sense of excitement and creativity

PATIENT ROOM SMALL SCALE HEALTHCARE ABOUT THE PROJECT: In this project we were assigned to design a hospital room based on evidence based design that we researched ourselves. With our findings, we were to create a hospital room. I decided to design a general hospital room.

CONSIDERATIONS: FAMILY ZONE

RESTROOM

PATIENT ZONE

Bed is located near window for optimal opportunity for connection with nature Faculty zone near front for easy access, while family zone is in back so they are not in way of working staff

FACULTY ZONE

ADA accessibility in bathroom with five feet turn radius, grab bars, and roll in shower 3 feet around the bed for easy accessibility

CONCEPT STATEMENT: To design a space that brings healing through nature to promote health and well being.

Easy to clean materials and finishes

FINDINGS: While researching hospital rooms, I found out that the use of nature promotes healing. I was able to bring the outdoors in through the use of large windows, paint colors, and the use of natural looking materials.

Keeping sustainability in mind through the use of light emitting diodes

CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS STILLWATER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ABOUT THE PROJECT: The purpose of this project was to enhance our understanding of construction documents by creating a full set for the demolition of an already existing elementary school library located in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The set of documents that I composed consisted of a demolition plan, new construction plan, furniture plan, finish plan, signage plan, electrical plan, reflected ceiling plan, and elevations. All plans were created using AutoCAD.
