INTRODUCTION

This portfolio is intended to present my most representative architectural work. Many of them have a contrast against the surrounding context. Similarly there is a great enhancement for traces of identity, due to the need to emphasize the history of the project to be undertaken. These resources, which have been used in these student projects, have generated changes in consmovision according to persepcion of the space.

INTRODUCTION Since I was a child I have always had interest in the arts and I have committed to it through acting, dancing and drawing. The fact that I could support me in my artistic activities, has allowed me to develop a greater perception of the context surrounding me. My ability to analyze has been strengthened with the study of music and this has increased when I started studying architecture. Today I can admit that my projects show my personality, because I'm a very analytical about space where my projects are located and reaffirm identity remains rescuing the smallest detail.

EXPECTATION My expectations are focused on developing my career in fields where music, art and architecture are complementary. The ability to create spaces where the experience of being in an art exhibition, a play or a concert can be maximized, catches my attention. The creation of recreational spaces where technology, space and human being can relate to each other, is the very near future and I would love to be part of this conformation. 03

“Architecture is not a private affair; even a house must serve a whole family and its friends, and most buildings are used by everybody, people of all walks of life. If a building is to meet the needs of all the people, the architect must look for some common ground of understanding and experience. John Portman

PROJECTS

The treehouse was a very inspiring project. The objective was to create a home that is activated according to the activities that may be performed. The tree, the center of the project, symbolizing the memory of the deceased mother of the family who will be using the house. This resource is used to solve the constant fights that existed in the family because of the family member was missing. This tree, the mother's favorite, is where the main activities arise and where all members interact, minimizing the individual spaces.

Restaurant and General Services. This project took place in the town of Mindo, Ecuador. The main objective was to use the materials of the sector as a basis, for generating structures and coatings. Mindo is located in a tropical area so the main element of the structure is bamboo. The project was born after resolving the need to maintain a cool environment in a sustainably way. Start with the composition of the restaurant from the cover and simultaneously integrates the Department of General Services.

Mindo is a mountainous watershed situated in the western slopes of the Andes, where two of the most biologically diverse ecoregions in the world meet: the Chocoan lowlands and the Tropical Andes. In this transitional area three rivers (Mindo, Saloya and Cinto) and hundreds of streams irrigate the landscape, which consists of a patchwork of cloud forests, secondary forests, agricultural land, and human settlements.

The objective is to create a space where the restaurant takes hierarchy due to its various activities and everyday use. Spatial characteristics are linked to the open spaces and comuniaci贸n towards nature.

The Collective Housing for short families was born in response to equipment previously built, the Community Pavilion. The Community Pavilion, meant to be a place of neighborhood integration, its initial concept is based on maintaining the Urban Shortcut forcing passers-by to learn about the activities of the place and therefore the user interacts with the user resident. Community housing maintains the concept ¨Urban Shortcut¨ , because this space generates a number of places that keep the path of Community Pavilion but equally creates interface spaces between user and user resident.

Liberty Park is part of the urban solution UIO CAMPUS. This urban solution is placed in the middle of the most controversial area of Quito, then it sits in the middle of the area, the first Heritage University of the city. All the streets become pedestrian and faculties are located along 3km, these are connected through a Tram. The Liberty Park is the faculty of Arts and Political Science, take this name to be located in a building where torture and political fraud existed, and here is where a transformation is made to the building to change the connotation of this story.

PLACE OF INTERVENTION

The place has the old building Regiment Quito. This place is known for having witnessed many tortures and several murders. The connotation of the building is very hard outwards, towards the environment. We consider equally the closest places to generate greater integration into the environment.

DESTROYING A BARRIER TO CREATER A MEMORY

End with a period of oppression and injustice and begin a new period of conscience and freedom. We use the concept of vestige of identity, to show a past reality and a point of contrast to its new role. The project starts when the same citizenship and those most affected by this past destroy this barrier and these ruins are preserved. These ruins mark the start of the opening of public space, the opening of Liberty Park. This open and permeable faculty has the mission to show the community the new growth of art and political science.
