-Born in Havana, Cuba 1990. -Moved to Greenville, South Car when I was 18. A few years late moved to Miami. -Fluent in Spanish and English. -My interest in in design began in when I applied to design school do to the circumstances, I had t move out of the country. In the I continued my education in architecture.
These are my favorite colors. Blue is one that I wear almost every day. The majority of my shirts are this color and they range in tones. My other favorite color would be black and gray. They are basically the same but very depending on the saturation.

BERNARD TSCHUMI Born January 25, 1944 in Switzerland He studied in Paris at The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, where he graduated with an architecture degree in 1969. Son of the famed architect, Jean Tschumi. He spent years teaching and exploring the field of philosophy before gaining recognition as an architect by winning Paris’ 1982 Parc de la Villette Competition. He is a well known Architect and writer whose work includes the Tokyo National Theater and Opera House, the Parc de la Villette in Paris, and also our own Architecture building here at FIU. He is associated with deconstructivism. He currently works in New York and Paris.

To him the color red is of extremely importance, he uses it throughout all preliminary sketches and drawings.
In Parc de la Villette he is dealing with autonomous components, hierarchically tied together by the grid and sometimes physically tied together by bridges and structure.

COLOR THEORY
Tschumi shows his architecture style with color. He marries hues to form a bond that lead the eye to points of importance. His structures are formed boldly, to be par with his choices of hues.
The Bright RED structure is approached by a blanket of free landscape. The two hues compliment each other, never causing the eye to struggle. this of color lets the person be guided by the hues through the structure.

FILM SUMMARY
This film is a film filled with color. Color is very important to the characters and their emo�ons. The film is about a couple who suffer a great loss. Chirs and Annie, suffer the loss of their two children Ian and Marie in a car accident. A�er that accident, Marie suffers a mental breakdown that brings the couple to the vergue of divorce. They decide that the will stay together and work through their issues because they are love and bond a beyond anything they have ever felt. Consecuently, Chirs also dies in a car accident. Chris awakes in Heaven, where he reunited with his children and dog. He knows his wife is suffering but never considered that she would take her life a�er his death. She falls into a deep depression that leads her to commi�ng suicide. Chris assumes that a�er her death she would be reunited with him and the children. To his surprise she is sent to Hell. He does everythig he can to save her but ul�mately only she can save herself and accend to Heaven. She accends to Heaven to once again save her husband from being damned in Hell. Their love is so beau�ful that they are given a second chance to live their love on Earth. They meet again as childern.

This scene, is part of Chris’ Heaven. Upon his arrival in Heaven the landscape is lush green and filled with beau�ful light. The colors express his joy and discovery of this new place. The colors reflect his emo�onal situta�on at that moment. In theory, Heaven is what ever the person imagines and whatever they want it to be.

This scene, is where Chirs begings to reach Hell. Hell is represented with dark colors. In this case shades of black are used. In addi�on, the sail of the boat which in the scenes from Heavan is bright orange and in this one it becomes dark red-orange. The darker the scene the more it represents the feelings of the character.

This scene in par�cual focuses in tones of purple. The tree represents the love that Chris and Marie have for each other. The contrast of the gray tones indicate that that love is some how falling apart. The color purple represents the love while the gray represents the sadness associated with that love.

CONTRAST OF HUE AND VALUE this store like all the other ones in this area of miami use white as a dominant color and use bright colors here and there to emphasis the importance of the merchandise. this store used a lot of blues in contrast with the darkness of the wood. here in these images you can see a large blue inslation that relates to a chair that is often in display in all stores around the world in different colors. the brightness of the blue is blanced with white. the chair makes is seem like the entire store was designed around the object.
CONTRAST OF A DESIGN FEATURE the store revolves around simple features. the idea is to create a store that only focuses on the iteams being sold. in this case wood is very important, the items displayed near wood are the priciest pieces in the store. also, when you walk in the store the first thing you tend to look at are the simple torso maniquins. although thats not a real design feature. this brand is also very old therefore they try to keep there store very similar throughout the world to make it more of a classical look.
CONTRAST OF TEXTURE like any other store, this one is sepearted by departments and each on has a verity of texture that define each space. this image is part of the mens department. there are multiple textures starting with light wooden floor and bright yellow rugs placed for sitting areas. the walls are made up of white walls with dark wooden shelves displaying merchendise. they also use a small amount of green to separate spaces. in this case they used bamboo sticks and green leaves. this gives a spearation between spaces without having actual walls.
FOCAL POINT each department focauses on a certain thing. in these images, two different departments are shown; part of the womens and the luggage department. in the section of the women department the focus is on the clothing there are only suttle placements of handbags and shoes as they would normally have there own section in the store. the other image shows only luggage and thats the focal point of the section.
VARIETY is a principle of design that is concerned with
the combination of one or more color elements that use line, shape, texture, and/or pattern to create diversity and contrast in an interior space.

“Line is the connection between two points in space. Vertical lines are a symbol of strength and stability.” The lobby itself consists of mostly vertical lines which imply dominance and makes the space very clean. The lines on the ground define the space in height.

“Shape is the result of one or more line connecting to form a two-dimensional image.” The lobby uses multiple shapes in its furniture and surfaces. The lamps are very important because they lineup the seating areas. “Texture is the characteristic visual and tactile quality of the surface of a material.” This place is filled with textures. From the walls to the furniture. The walls are a mix of white marble while the others are lines with wood. The wood gives the area a warmth that makes you feel very comfortable.

“Pattern is the respective arrangement of shapes and colors in a systematic horizontal, vertical, diagonal, or organic sequence.” Everything in this lobby follows a pattern. Here the use of patters in dominant on the walls. For example, the image used to describe patterns is what welcomes you into the hotel; the line pattern creates the shape of a man.

“Line is the connection between two points in space. Vertical lines are a symbol of strength and stability.” The roof top of this hotel is very iconic. The use of line on the ground and the line projected by the wooden canopies in some areas.

“Shape is the result of one or more line connecting to form a two-dimensional image.” The areas created by different shapes are important. They define certain areas; like the bar for example. It’s a large rectangle on the side of the pool. And the pool is reflected back in its shape. “Texture is the characteristic visual and tactile quality of the surface of a material.” Being that this part of the hotel is an exterior area the textures used throughout are very natural. They use wood mostly giving it a home feel.

ANALYSIS
The interior of the space is very linear. All the lines uses will lead you to the main attraction of the office. The S shape in the center of the space. Which is a space where a conference room is located. Also, the furniture uses very clean lines. Everything is very linear in contrast to the shape in the center. The main attraction of the office is obviously the large S shape. It is located in the center of the space. Its color also very dominant in comparison to the rest. The focal point of the office is black; while the rest of the colors in the office are bright and inviting. The is lines in wood in its interior. This office has all kinds of textures; from the furniture to the walls. They used different materials every where. From natural materials to metal. The contrast in texture makes the space bright and inviting. The ground is also divided by texture. Each texture divides the different areas of the office. The shared space has wood and a carpet. While the smaller private areas have plan carpet. The building itself uses patterns in its interior and exterior. In this case, the main pattern on the exterior is a series of circles which are projected to the interior with its shadows. Other space used squares as patterns and again the interior of the room is reflected to the outside.

It is very interesting to see how great interior design can actually be. The combinations of color can create spaces within space that work perfectly well together; while maintaining its individuality. This office does this very well. The palette works very well together. By using one focal point the office seems to all point into that direction. Always show its dominance and the importance of the space. In this case it is the conference room.

RED is always a symbol of blood and strength. This color is represented on the flag and seen throughout the city. BLUE is a symbol of wisdom and hope. A clear example of the oceans that surround them and the sky that is always above the island.

[symbolism and meanings] YELLOW has represented bravery, wealth, and refinement since the War of Dynasties in 1357. During this time, warriors wore yellow chrysanthemums, which represent the emperor in Japan and royal family, as a pledge of courage.
GREEN new and eternal life, new beginnings, fertility, youth, health, and prosperity. ORANGE signifies courage, happiness, love, and good health. And in Indian cultures, it’s symbolic of fire. The orangecolored spice, saffron, is considered to be lucky and sacred.
