PROJECT JUSTIFICATION
This practical outcome is aimed at providing the user with a contemporary understanding of some of the text language that exists today, in relation to Communication Technology. Furthermore, it is an attempt to give users (most suited to older generations, unfamiliar with such prose) an understanding of both the language that exists, and its correct application. Being that digital forms of language exist mainly within digital platforms, and because of the lack of effect Communication Technology has had on printed language, this book offers an exploration of digital language through more traditional, hand-rendered methods. The hand-rendered production has been applied through all aspects of this book and aims to illustrate both, the importance of the hand in typographic/book production, and the contrast between digital communication and more classical forms.

DESIGN DECISIONS
The colour scheme exists to provide visual contrast and content separation between phrase and translation. Japanese saddle stitch enables user accessibility and easy opening and, with yellow thread, maintains colour coordination. In line with the hand-rendered aspect, the title page is hand cut to offer a rough aesthetic.

DESIGN PRODUCTION
All typographic content was hand-rendered using, either different sized fine-liners, or brush pens. The stock was hand folded using a bone fold for authenticity and to maintain the mechanical approach. The book was hand bound using the Japanese stitch method for durability and aesthetic purposes.

DESIGN OUTCOME
As a reference point, secondary pages (in red), were included giving the user an explanation and an applied example of each text phrase. This will inform the user of each phrases meaning and use, relative to text language conduct.
