Okay, it’s not quite on par with the Lincoln Memorial but even so, after visiting

the Goldwater Memorial this month, I felt it could use a little added attention. Located at the corner of Lincoln and Tatum, the highlight of Senator Barry Goldwater’s monument is a one and a half times life-size statue of the long time PV resident. The statue does look

great, or anywhere close to great, are the weather-beaten, faded signs detailing (I would guess) Goldwater’s life. It’s a sad fact that I had to go to Wikipedia to learn more about the man because I couldn’t make out a single sign during my visit!

It’s the first day of September and insanely hot in the Valley... and that’s not going away

now. This 25,000-square-foot facility boasts loads of giant trampolines (some designed for

anytime soon. Local moms still need indoor kid-friendly activities for a solid month (maybe two). So AZ Air Time at Scottsdale and Thunderbird couldn’t have come a moment too soon. It’s totally beyond the indoor bounce houses that have kept us entertained until
