Dear Members, It is with great pride and delight that I look back over the last two weeks. I realise how fortunate we have been able to celebrate not only Sukkot, but Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah also, all in a Covid secure and safe manner. It really was a case of bringing the community together. The celebrations were a little different to what we have grown accustomed to, but the atmosphere was just as good. In some ways, it was even better! The best part was that we were able to celebrate in our beloved Shul. I believe that for those who were able to join us in person, they very much enjoyed the experience. This was the case, even with the various necessary restrictions and safeguards being in place to ensure that the Synagogue remains Covid secure. As we must now get used to some of these precautions which have been imposed upon us by both Central Government and the United Synagogue for our own safety, it is an opportunity for us to embrace the chance to return to the synagogue for those who have not yet been able to do so or have not felt able to yet return. I would therefore encourage all of you, if you are able and feel happy to do so, to book online and pay us a visit. I hope that you will be happily and pleasantly surprised by the experience. I can say that a huge amount of work and effort has gone in to ensuring that this will be the case by all on the Honorary Executive, as well as our Booking Administrator, Marshal Coordinator and Volunteer Covid marshals. Whilst the social element of Shul is missing much of its energy and, for now, there is still no Kiddush to enjoy, there is a tremendous feeling of communal spirit and determination. The links for both our midweek and Shabbat services are set out below and I hope to see you in our Shul very soon. [weekdayservices] [shabbatservices] In addition, this week our younger members will be having a graduation Shabbat which was postponed from earlier in the year. Please do let the office or Rabbi Fine know if you and your children will be attending for what will be an extremely fun morning. We are also pleased to have the return of our community's Kabbalat Shabbat service on Zoom which this week will take place at 5:00pm (prompt) on Friday night. Just to add, that we will also be having a Friday night service in Shul, which begins at 6.00pm (please do not forget to book in). The Taste of Shabbat Zoom session can be accessed by logging in at [Zoom] Password: 648395. We thank you for your continued support and in the meantime, be well and healthy and stay safe. Best wishes,
