JOSH MADRID - TRUST ME, YOU DON’T WANT SUCCESS EASY OR FAST. IT WILL DESTROY YOU
You will never BLOW UP and become who you could of been and who you are supposed to be. If you let your struggles define you and scare you from getting after it to avoid getting hurt, failing, or losing then you will have a really hard life full of stress, anxiety and depression.
There is only 2 ways not being successful can happen. Being aware of them will help you avoid stress and other negative emotions about yourself. Reality Option 1 — I recommend you either stop feeling bad for yourself and find closure in being okay with settling for average. Once you decide this is your decision and not anyone else’s — then you won’t hate yourself so much for it anymore. (I don’t recommend option 1 at all, but it will work)
Reality Option 2 — Be thankful for the struggles you go through. They make you stronger wiser & humble. Don’t let them break you. Let them make you. Once you become successful, your story will be 10x more inspiring if you leverage those failures and struggles as something that made you work harder. Anyone can become rich if everything is lined up in their favor or if they are born into millions without needing to work— but it’s a lot more admirable when the odds are against your favor (aka you’re an #UNDERDAWG) and you defy them all.
Trust me, you don’t want success easy or fast. It will destroy you and you will destroy the things you care about most. Those who have everything given to them become lazy, selfish, and insensitive to the real values of life. Horrible shit happening to you and failure is INEVITABLE. You actually need it to stay grounded and on your toes. The best advice I can give you is to embrace those challenges, accept them for what they are, and attack them like a freakin’ BEAST!
If you let life come to you, you’re going to fail BIG TIME. You have to go out and get what you want, or it won’t happen. Point BLANK. When your environment doesn’t support you, change your environment. ⠀ Having the thick skin to deal with the ridicule of friends to distract you is one thing. Making a conscious decision to actually get rid of Deadweight keeping you weak is another. That’s takes mental fortitude and is tough
If the life your environment and peers are limiting you to is not the life you’d be proud to have lived when on your deathbed — Wake TF up and make the necessary changes to grow. Throw a butterfly off a cliff right when it’s born and it’ll fall to it’s death. What does that mean? ⠀ It means that it’s born a caterpillar and caterpillars can’t fly, but once it grow into a butterfly — it can.
The same organism can go from being ignored and helpless to developing into a magic-like creature that’s demands attention & can fly anywhere it chooses when it chooses. I think that visual best describes the amplitude of my motto “You will not become successful until you develop into the person who can. “
Meaning you gotta crawl, walk, run, jump all before you even think bout flying. So stop quitting when you can‘t fly, but you haven’t even took responsibility of guaranteeing yourself in the walk stage…. just because you follow the steps, the system, the blueprint, the coaching, etc —after starting a business doesn’t guarantee you success. ⠀ It doesn’t matter how talented, hardworking, skilled, or committed you are — ultimately your sense of worthiness will make or break you. Your success could be guaranteed, but no course or mentor can predict it, BUT — YOU CAN.
If you think it can, you gotta BIGGER problem: — > You have more faith in another man’s expertise or trusted knowledgeable word than you have for yourself. You want a guarantee on money back that you pay to learn from them but you won’t even make a guarantee to yourself. That’s gambling. ⠀ Every-time you quit because it’s too difficult or “not for you” to try something else that you think will be easier and quicker — you make it longer and more difficult for yourself. You’ll do it till your die and then wonder why you tried everything and nothing worked. If you are fucking up and failing then CONGRATS!!! It’s f*cking working. You should be excited and hoping your next screw up is even bigger. (That means you improved and grew and are 1 screw-up closer.) STOP looking for an easy way to the top and embrace the hardships as part of the journey!
