Although highschool was not my highlight or pinicale of achievement in academics, i was exposed to the art of drafting and architectural design through college accredited classes offered by my highschool.

I am a current student of the washington State university school of Construction and Design 2014. Im in my Third year of study here at washington state university. Architectural major and fine arts minor.

YVCC Yakima Wa. 98902 Graduated in 2 years obtained: Associate in Arts

G.P.A

Did not have any sort of studies for architecture or design, took some art history classes and ended up getting my associates in arts which has engulfed my interest in the arts, influencing my choice of minor and studies of the Fine arts.

I am a current student of the washington State university school of Construction and Design 2014. I came here to learn about the field of architecture with a brief background from highschool and fell in love with the aspect of everything that the field offers from design to the history and teaching of the influences that architecture have had both on us, and the past and how it can impact our future generations as well. The culture that comes with the field of architecture has engulfed my life and i can not think of another field i would ever want to pursue. Its become a way of everyday thinking. Architecute is not just about one thing it encorporates a number of professions. From engineering, the arts, philosophy, mathematics, physics, history. it combines all the methods of thinking to a broader spectrum and in doing so opens up the opportunitiy to think criticially in design and design based principles. I am studying architectur as well as the fine arts and i believe with both of these backgrounds and what i have learned in my undergraduate i would love to excell into the masters program here where i can further continue my studies of my passion. Design is a lifestyle were you can only continue learning, its everchanging and always growing. My hopes are to aspire its same message to continue my growth as a designer and press the envelope and see what the bounderies are, contine to change with the changing world around me.

this picture was taken at the washington state vs. cal bears football game that me and my fellow students were fortunate of going to on our study tour of the san francisco area. From this picture you can see i was a willing advocate of the trip and the activities scheduled. I am a team player and love to have fun and learn about the profession and background of architecture and its premises that help sculpt our cities our homes, our schools and our everyday lives. Its amazing to have the ability to learn and understand an profession the directly affects the future of its occupants. My hope is to one day inspire awe like i have been awed so many times by designs of the past and even today. Its truly an emerging and growing field. its has its ups and its downs, but if your in it for love of the game your in it for life. Love what you do and it will reflect in you work. The project : the queen anne library in the queen anne district of the Greater seattle area. It is on the boudary of the residential meeting the commerical. It was designed to correspond to both the commerical street side with a more commercial horizontality that surrounds the area with the rear of th building responding to the residential and its undgulating elevations and pattersns that draw you in from the residential ally way that used to feel dark and weary, which now has an inviting public library that brings a little touch of technology and traditional library recources to use to create a greate bridge to connect the residential to the commeercial settings that are so often neglected in these conditions.

Structure: Structural precast concrete fold plate structure

Description The proposed structure in the sanfrancisco area is placed to enhances the quenticential views of the bay area. A vertical fold structure allowed for an increase in height. Taked up less of a footprint on this beautiful lush forest. Adaptive reuse of this land was key in aquireing the site. Site plays enormous role in design. Through this fold pattern we found implied movement patterns, vast structural capabilites, and oportunites to frame views. A structure, a fold,a new view, that through curioustiy will envoke the people and the history of there home town.

VIEWING THE FOLD

Viewing the Fold location : Mt Sutro, Sanfranciso Structure:

strucural precast concrete fold pl ate structure THE SITE OF THIS MUSEUM IS LOCATED IN THE HEART OF SAN FRANCISCO WHICH IS ONE OF THE MAJOR CITIES ON THE WESTERN COAST, A CITY VERY INVOLVED IN THE ARCHITECTURAL MOVEMENT. THIS PROPOSED MUSEUM SITE IS A STRUCTURAL GEOMETRY FORMED THROUGH DIVISON OF SPACE WHICH RESULTING IN A VERTICAL FOLD PLATE STRUCTURE. ENTIRELY STRUCTURAL WITHOUT ASSISTANCE OF INTERNAL SUPPORT. THIS FOLDED PLATE SYSTEM RELIES ON THE CONSTRAINT OF THE CORNER TO SUPPORT AND DISTRIBUTE ITS LOADS EVENLY, EFFECTIVELY CREATING A SHELL STRUCTURE WHICH ALLOWS FOR LARGE OPEN SPACES. THROUGH THIS LINEWORK WE ARE GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY FOR A UNIQUE CIRCURLATORY PATH. MOVEMENT THROUGH THE FOLDS THEM SELVES. THIS TOPOLOGICAL SURFACE IS THE GROUND, A RAMP, A CONTINUOUS GALLERY, A VIEWING PLATFORM, AND THROUGH THIS SYSTEM WE CAN SEE INFLUENCES THROUGH INVERSE PROPERTIES OF THE GUGGENHIEM AND ITS CENTRAL HELIX WHICH GRACIOUSLY FORMS CIRCULATION WITH ENHANCED VIEWS THROUGH UNIQE PATHS. WITH THIS PROPOSISTION WE ARE UTILIZING THE CENTRAL HELIX TO HOUSE GALLERY SPACES, AUDATORIUMS, AND FREE OPEN SPACE WITHOUT COMPRIMISING THE FEELING COVEYED BY THE CENTRAL HELIX BOTH WITH RESPECT TO VIEWS AND LIGHT THROUGH ITS SPACES. AS THE EXTERNAL SURFACE FOLDS UP AND DOWN , DIFFERENT CONDITIONS ARE REVEALED. THROUGH THE USE OF A SINGLE TECTONIC SYSTEM, PREFABRIFATED CONCRETE ALLOWS FOR THIS STRUCTURAL PROCESS TO BE BOTH SIMPLE AND HELPFUL IN CREATING UNIQUE SPATIAL CONDITIONS.
