Hi, I'm I' CtrlAltDelicious. Welcome to my stream.
Please, don’t call me a girl gamer. I just game like all of you do. Except I’m probably better.
Tune in Monday through Friday from 8 to 8.
I have always had a talent for gaming. The glow of a 60hz refresh rate burning into my retinas, q-w-e-r q-w-e-r over and over, 200 clicks per minute, Caffeine coursing through my veins. The thrill of gaming is only rivaled by the sweet taste of victory.

My story is quite similar to most of the pros who live here... I was good, really good. But truthfully it came down to pure dumb luck. I stumbled into the right solo Q game at the right time and an invite was shot over to join an existing team in their gaming house. Getting to move out of my parent’s house and into a gaming house was amazing! Hydration

The gaming house was like a dream come true. The only problem...If you do not win you do not earn. We practiced so many hours together, sunrise to sunrise. But unfortunately London has horrible lag. It was getting to the point of hurting our practice sessions.
The Graphic User interface as well as the map behind it has been designed and colored to increase the visual clarity of the player. The Game creators used saturation and value to draw the players eyes around the map in a pleasing way. The game is played through a locked axonometric camera that follows the champion as they roam the battlefield.

What really set me apart from my competitors is my love for everything about the game. I geeked out with how all of the images come together on the screen. The bump maps, hierarchy of saturation, reflection, lighting all come together to create depth from a composition of 2d images.

The environment is the base layer of the game. The tones stay neutral and towards the darker end of the value spectrum. This allows for the environment to act as a canvas for the other elements.
The second layer is the Champion. It takes up a larger Saturation and Value range than the Environment Canvas. The additional contrast added to the Champion allows for the Player to easily follow along.
The third layer are the visual effects. These are given priority over the Champions to allow for them to easily be seen during a large team fight with many things going on.
The fourth and easiest element to see is the Graphic User Interface. This takes up the largest range of saturation and value. It sits proudly at the top while remaining as small as possibly to avoid obstructing the players.

The top lane is located at the top of the map. In normal gameplay it is typically a 1v1 lane. Champions who frequent the top lane are Tanky DPS or Bruisers
The mid lane is located in the middle of the map. In normal gameplay it is typically a 1v1 lane. Champions who frequent the middle lane are typically Anti-Casters or Attack Power Carries.
The bot lane is located on the bottom of the map. In normal gameplay it is typically a 2v2 lane. The champion teams are normally composed of a Support Champion and an Attack Damage Carry Champion. The 2 champions are placed in the bottom lane due to their proximity to the Dragon.
The Jungle is the filler space in between the lanes and outside of the central river. A jungler approaches the game differently and levels up through neutral creeps. The Jungle is typically taken by a Jungler.
The rive is the neutral point on the map directly cutting it in half. It is home to Baron Nashor and the Dragon. Two monsters that when killed greatly benefit the whole team.

The Nexus gives summoners control over their champions. Once destroyed the connection to the selected champion is cut and the enemy team wins. The Blue Nexus features a bold architectural style relying heavily on angular components.

Structures that block the training of enemy Super Minions. Each team starts with 3 inhibitors that have 4000 base health and no armor or magic resistance. Upon being destroyed by the enemy team, the inhibitor begins spawning Super Minions.
A heavy fortification that blocks the champion and minion waves. Each team has three lane turrets as well as two turrets that protect the nexus resulting in a total of 11 turrets per team.

A powerful, neutral monster that gives the team that killed it a powerful buff. Baron spawns at the 20:00 minute mark in the game and respawns 7 minutes after its death. Its rarity and buff make Baron a key swing point in the games mechanics.
I spend all of my time living in this digital world waging war in the top bottom and mid lanes. From sunrise to sunset I game.

Summoner’s Rift is a 5v5 player map that is home to ranked play in League of Legends. The map is mirrored diagonally across the neutral central river. The map features three lanes (top, mid, bottom) that are each defended by three turrets and an inhibitor. The central nexus is defended by two large turrets. Destroying the enemies Nexus wins the game for your team.
BYOC LAN TOURNAMENT
The rush of no lag, in person, gaming kept us coming back to BYOC (Bring your own computer) LAN competitions. One fateful day we ended up winning one of them. Seeing the look of defeat on your opponents face as you out feed and ultimately stomp them is perhaps the best thing in the world.
GGWP!!!
We took first at the Battle of the LAN. It was amazing. All of that practice came together and winning seemed easy.
Guys! We got an invite to the playground! Should we go check it out?
ME TOO!
I’m in!
Are we moving?
Finally! I have been hoping we would get an invite. I cant wait for no lag again!
It was an exciting opportunity for our team. We had heard about the playground but never dreamed we would get to live/play there. Game | Stream | Live
The TUBE
Liverpool street railway station
We hopped on the tube from our old apartment and moved into the fast ping zone. London’s internet infrastructure was designed for the fast delivery of large packets of data(I.E. stock market updates). The lack of upgrading left most of the city with archaic hardware making gaming almost impossible. The bricklane area was on the edge of the upgraded infrastructure, the low ping zone. Needless to say we were super excited about speeding things up!

transatlantic cables
The world is connected with fiber-optic cables strung across the floors of our oceans. A small group of privately owned companies are responsible for the installation and maintanence of our world’s high speed connection. There is a never ending quest for zero latency. Round trips between New York and London can take as little as 65msec.
Gaming hall
The main public gaming hall stacks vertically into the viewing platforms. The lack of interior walls allows for visual and audial bleeding between games.
This is my favorite spot to relax when I get away from my computer. I can see almost everything from up here.
Bricklane
The playground is situated in the F block of the old truman brewery off of brick lane. It enters through a 3.5 meter grid and then spills over onto the roof of the existing building. It is an expression of exuberance and excess in both material and form. It is a golden sanctuary for an immersive gaming environment.
BrickLane
The playground
There is the Playground! The building is covered in gold. I think its a bit excessive...but hey...who am I to judge the architect.

Lets do this!
Are you guys ready?
The playground leaks out from inside of the brewery. The threshold moves from an excess of material into an excess of digital saturation. The rising steps are the main artery for visitors to experience professional gaming at its highest level.
Entrance steps
The playground is an orgasm of visual and auditory overstimulation. The architecture responds by presenting its bulgy body, an excess of form and gloss. Excessive digital stimulation warrants excessive architectural presence.
Arena
This the the main entrance to the Playground. From the rising spanish steps you can see down into the server stacks and up into the gaming arena. Server Stacks
The Proving Grounds
The Spanish steps release onto the proving grounds. The view upon reaching the top steps is the farthest view in the building. it uses the long section to layer projection screens thus creating depth from physical layering and reflections. This is the platform for public teams to earn a spot in the playground. Seemingly endless reflections layer on top of flowing excess. A professional gaming team always has to be ready to battle up and coming challengers. The glass half shells arrayed around the space create private digital ecosystems for the players while allowing for zones of public viewing at their perimeter .
The Proving Grounds. We have to continue to win against public challengers if we want to stay in the Playground.
