Vodafone Malta announces launch of iPhone 6s & iPhone 6s Plus BY GOZO NEWS ¡ OCTOBER 16, 2015

As from today, Friday the 16th of October, Vodafone has started to offer Apple's iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s plus in its store. The iPhone 6s is the latest version of iPhone that Apple is describing as being a vastly improved version of all previous designs, with their CEO stating that "even if the iPhone 6s may look familiar, we have changed everything about these new iPhones". Available with the same 4.7 and 5.5-inch Retina displays, the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus have the same exterior design as the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, however the hardware and technology of the 6s and 6s plus have been thoroughly updated. The exterior body and screen has also been upgraded and is now stronger and more durable than any previous-generation iPhone." "Other new features that stand out are the new second-generation Touch ID module that makes fingerprint detection twice as fast, and the introduction of a 3D Touch feature, which Apple is calling "the future of Multi-Touch." And for those customers for whom the iPhone's camera features are a main selling point the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus also include an innovative new feature called 'Live Photos', which captures 1.5 seconds of movement before and after a photo is taken to display short animations and sound when a 3D Touch gesture is used on an image. Both the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus come in three different models: 16GB, 64GB and 128GB and will be available from Vodafone in all four colours produced by Apple. These are Silver, Gold, Space Grey and Rose Gold (a totally new colour launched by Apple specifically

VODAFONE EMPLOYEE JOINS ‘HEROES’ IN LONDON Daniela Abela, Vodafone Malta‟s Annual Global hero for 2014/15, a Customer Experience Delivery Senior Executive in the company‟s Commercial Operations Group , has recently returned from London where she attended the Annual Global Hero Recognition Event. Daniela was joined by twenty-eight other Vodafone Global Heroes from across all Vodafone‟s Operating Companies. This special event consisted of an all-expenses paid International VIP weekend trip to London, where the Heroes were treated to a number of specially-organised sightseeing trips, including a private viewing of the London Eye and a visit to a top theatrical show in the West End. A highlight of the trip was a visit to the Vodafone Offices in Paddington where they were warmly welcomed by the entire staff and where they met the Chairman of the Vodafone Group, Vittorio Colao. “Being awarded the Vodafone Global Hero is a great honour and I feel privileged to have been the employee selected from Vodafone Malta for this award,” said Daniela. “The VIP weekend in London was truly a memorable experience, not only because we were treated so well but also because it was such an eye-opener to meet other Vodafone employees from so many different parts of the world. It made me realise that although our personal experiences may be different, we share a special sense of belonging and a way of looking at things that is uniquely Vodafone.” The Vodafone Annual Global Heroes is an award dedicated to high performers and role models who behave in „The Vodafone Way‟. Heroes from across all markets where Vodafone operates are selected on an annual basis and are recognised for their outstanding contribution and for the results they bring to the company‟s success.

Bedside entertainment services at Mater Dei Hospital ending this year Melita has put forward alternative solutions to provide telecommunications services that match the growing demand for connectivity of Mater Dei patients, staff and visitors alike 19 October 2015, 1:39pm

Bedside entertainment services at Mater Dei Hospital will cease to be offered from 31 December 2015. In line with its contractual obligations, Melita notified the hospital management about the termination of services in 2014. Provision of services had been extended until the end of 2015 as per request from the hospital management. During this period services are offered on a best-effort basis as the equipment is end-of-life and no longer under support by its vendors. Melita has put forward alternative solutions to provide telecommunications services that match the growing demand for connectivity of Mater Dei patients, staff and visitors alike. The services would include high speed Wi-Fi internet across the hospital and television access using smart devices. Following a competitive bid in 2007, Melita provided bedside entertainment services at Mater Dei Hospital including Television, Internet and Telephony through dedicated bedside terminals. Services were provided over the MITA network within the hospital in line with conditions set by the Foundation for Medical Services. Throughout this period Melita also offered free services to more than 10% of the beds at Mater Dei mainly in children wards, along with free television services in hospital common areas. Melita takes this opportunity to thank Mater Dei Hospital staff and management for the collaboration throughout these years. The company thanks all patients and relatives that made use of the bedside entertainment services and wishes a speedy recovery to all patients currently under care.
