Wear your stripes with pride! Nautical is ALWAYS coming back in fashion so even the fashion blind can’t go too wrong with this trend. Monochrome looks chicest by far whilst colourful stripes will make you stand out from the crowd. But it’s the classic sailor blue and white stripes that keep us coming back for more :)

Try a bright make up look such as a coral or red lipstick to contrast with your simple outt or add a bright scarf, jacket or pair of heels so you don’t look too matchy-matchy. Remember also that horizontol stripes will make you look slimmer and taller than vertical stripes so think about what areas of your body you want to wear your stripes on to elongate or widen the right places.
Add hair accessories such as cute bows, clips or headbands to create interest or to add a pop of colour to your monochrome look.

Meet
as a teenager g whilst workingg at Accessorize in Manchester and signing g g to into a whirl wind that shows no signs g of slowingg down. We love Rebecca Accessorize and is managing to combine modelling whilst also studying at stumbled into the brutal yet faaaabulous world of fashion.
Rebecca is half an hour early when we meet at her favourite cafe in her home town of Manchester straight from shooting the latest Topshop posters soon to be seen on a highstreet near you! She’s wearing jeans, Ugg boots, a leather jacket and a scarf- typical off-duty model uniform. After a quick introduction and a scan through the menu we get on down to it. Where:The History Cafe When: A sunny Spring Saturday What: Rebecca had a blueberry mufn and a strawberry milkshake. Hi Rebecca! How did this all start? I was spotted when I was seventeen standing at the front of the shop where I worked when a model scout came in and asked if I’d come along to their studios to have some test photos taken because they were recruiting for new models. I went to the studios with my mum where there were a few other girls waiting nervously and we went in one by one to have test polaroids taken. Then I went home and waited for a call to see if the photos were good enough to come back and have more taken for a portfolio and they were, yey! Had you always wanted to be a model?

No I had never thought about it before this, although obvioulsy it was very attering to be asked!
This model is about to take the UK by storm after beingg spotted Absolute Models. Little did she know that she had jjust stepped for the simple fact that she’s one of us- she still shops at Leeds University. Here Rebecca talks to Enigma about how she When I was younger I was an absolute tomboy but once I got to high school I started to have a really keen interest in the latest fashions and designers. Where do you hope to be in the future? Obviously doing a shoot with topshop is huge but it may never come round again so in ve years I hope to still be modelling. It would be amazing to be in magazines like Grazia, Elle and of course every model wants to be in Vogue. What’s the best and worst thing about being a model?
Going to casting calls in London
The best part is getting to wear amazing clothes and having your hair and make up done in ways that you would never imagine to do yourself. The worst is probably the waiting around when different shots have to be set up, especially wen it’s winter and you’re wearing little dresses and you’re freezing! It’s not all as glamorous as you’d think! Who has helped you along the way? My family have been an amazing support and encouraged me to pursue modelling as long as it was really what I wanted to do. Modelling has also made me realise who my true friends are, the ones who support and are happy for me are the my true friends and I love them for it.

Award winning make up artist Claire Bowden talks us through the looks... Katie’s look was achieved using clip in hair extensions which were backcombed with a ne tooth comb then teased into place with hairspray and gloss then a nishing touch of a hair ribbon (Accessorize £10) Her eyes were created using Max Factors liquid eyeliner in Kohl number 9 and Rimmels smokey eye pallet in black, grey and silver. I added a hint of bronzer to the apples of her cheeks because of her naturally pale skin tone then applied two coats of cherry red lipstick by Bourgeouis. Kirsty’s cute prom girl look was given a toughening up with the help of a erce pair of black boots and plenty of eyeliner. I wanted to leave her skin as creamy as possible to give the look a girly touch so i used a moisturising foundation to match her complexion followed by plenty of bronzer and a pale pink lipstick by Rimmel to highlight her tan and make her blue eyes pop! The overall look was completed by lling in the eyebrows with a dark eyebrow pencil then combing them into place to give a polished nish. Super cute! Claire’s mahogany coloured hair was offset with a bright pink lipstick that suited her tanned skin tone. To make the make up the main focus I piled her hair into two buns on top of her head but left them loose and messy for a more relaxed up to date looknothing too perfect! I made Claire’s look the darkest and most dramatic because of her dark hair but this isn’t a look suited to pale skin tones or those with blonde or light brown hair as it will wash you out. i used plenty of liquid eyeliner to create thick wings at the corners of the eyes and added black and grey eyeshadow on top to give the overall effect a messy touch.
Begin with a primer base mixed with a little foundation
Dab some under eye concealer into the creases of your eyes to cover eyebags
Pencil in your eyebrows for a tidy look k with a similar coloured pencil

Bronze your cheeks or add blusher depending on your skin tone

Add lashings of black mascars to open your eyes
Brush them into arches
Apply a dark brown over the whole lid then layer with a shimmery light brown. use black for night!
