Congratulations to the Third Annual Journal Tribune Readers’ Choice award winners

he 2018 Journal Tribune Readers’ Choice Awards recognizes votes cast by our readers for their choice in more than 100 categories highlighted by local schools, non-profit services, professional services, places to visit and unique people and businesses that make Southern Maine such a great place to live and work in. During the voting period this year, we received a record number of ballots and votes from readers who singled out their favorites for distinction as Readers’ Choice Award winners. We received ballots from more than a dozen cities and towns hear in Southern Maine. The movers and shakers on this list are genuine trendsetters and innovators and some are long standing favorites among generations of local families. Every year, we have newcomers make the list as our readers reflect on the tremendous options we

have here to shop, visit, eat and entertain us. The RC lists more than two dozen restaurants and food categories that are sure to please your palate. Several new winners are

recognized, while a significant amount of winners from last year were voted number one. If you are like me, I find the food categories to be very competitive and enjoy when the readers vote for restaurants that I know and love, while they recognize a few that I have yet to try. We want to thank Lucky Loggers Landing Restaurant, Back Street Grill and City Theater for providing gift cards and tickets to the lucky readers that turned in ballots and were chosen as winners.
