Moses I – Egypt to Sinai Introduces the fascinating account of the life of Moses, from his providential birth to leading the Israelites out of Egypt. Practical applications and stimulating questions encourage biblical thinking.

Acts I Sheds light on Christianity’s early growth as Peter, Phillip, and others preach the Gospel, heal the sick, and cast out devils in His name. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, Jesus’ followers purposed to exalt the Savior despite persecution.

Judges & Ruth Learn how to live victoriously in this Satan-infested world by studying real people who find solutions to real problems. Lessons on Ruth reveal God’s sovereignty in bringing redemption to mankind.

Moses II – Sinai to Jordan River Continues the captivating study of the life of Moses, including the Ten Commandments, the Tabernacle, and the Jordan River. Learn valuable lessons about God’s character that are important today.

Acts II Early church history unfolds as Paul takes the Gospel to the Gentiles. Despite persecution, shipwreck, and religious opposition, Paul remained firm in his devotion to Jesus.

Studies in 1st Samuel Compares and contrasts the lives of three key biblical figures—Samuel, the ideal servant of God; Saul, Israel’s prideful and rebellious king; and David, a man with strong faith and a heart for God.

Jesus’ Early Ministry Presents Jesus’ early life, including prophecy of His coming, early life in Nazareth, preparation for ministry, and early miracles. Jesus’ life models perfectly how to live in service and submission to the Father.

Joshua Presents the exciting events of the people of Israel as they cross the Jordan River, conquer Jericho, and fight internal and external battles to conquer Canaan. These events demonstrate living the Christian life in today’s world.

Jesus’ Later Ministry Follow Jesus’ steps to Calvary as He performs miracles, preaches and teaches, and ministers to followers. The events of Jesus’ final week—triumphal entry, last supper, crucifixion, resurrection—are covered in detail.

Beginnings in Genesis Genesis records God’s miraculous creation, the beginning of the human race, and such topics as the origin of sin and the sanctity of life. Christians grounded in the biblical account of creation will be more thoroughly prepared to share their faith with others.

Learning from Jesus During Jesus’ ministry in Galilee, multitudes witnessed His miracles and heard his teaching. Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount teaches wonderful truths about the Christian’s relationship to God and others.

King David / Solomon David’s life of triumph and tragedy presents valuable lessons about righteousness, marriage, family, faith, and service. Solomon, who flourished in power, wealth, and wisdom, allowed personal weakness to corrode his throne and bring God’s chastening.

Ryan got into his harness and Uncle Mark connected the ropes that would hold them if they lost their footing. After a few simple instructions, Uncle Mark began the climb, and told Ryan to follow in his footsteps. “Watch where I step, and place your feet where mine have just been.” “This is great!” Ryan thought as he climbed to about fifteen feet above (continued on next page) Junior • Spring • Week 7

Joyful Life Features

Distinctives Basic Bible truths in every lesson Adult – Youth 1 The goal of the Bible Study program is for each student of the Word to deepen his relationship with Christ by enriching his understanding of the Bible. Teaching the Bible is a great honor and a solemn responsibility.

Junior – Toddler In addition to the Bible story, each lesson includes Bible truths which teach and review basic doctrine through questions children can understand and remember. As they answer simple questions such as Who is Jesus? Who wrote the Bible? and Is all of the Bible true?, children learn the fundamentals of the Christian faith and grow in their knowledge of God and His Word.

Teacher training in every Teacher Guide Adult – Youth 2 The teacher is successful when lessons are taught, not read. Highlighted headings, Bible references, and teaching visuals are used so that each moment is utilized to the fullest.

Youth 1 – Toddler Every Teacher Guide begins with valuable instruction for new and experienced teachers. Procedures are suggested for telling Bible stories, teaching new songs and memory verses, and managing a classroom. Other topics include teaching children how to pray and leading children to Christ. Throughout the curriculum are more helpful ideas and suggestions for effective teaching.

Emphasis on learning A life that is focused on God is one that is full of joy—and that is the focus of the Joyful Life Bible Study program and Sunday school curriculum. Our goal is not to entertain, but to teach the Bible in a way that adults – children will learn and remember throughout life. We believe that the Bible itself is “entertaining” and, what is more important, that it is relevant to our lives today. Centered on the Word of God, this program not only interests children through colorful visuals and exciting Bible narratives, but it also educates them in the ways of the Lord and molds their lives for Christ. Adult and Youth are visually stimulated with teaching posters, charts, and visuals. The program is designed to build up their faith and equip them to effectively present their beliefs to others.

Built-in review to ensure learning Adult – Youth 1 Highlighted headings help the teacher of the Word make appropriate applications throughout the lessons. Such thoughts are easily reviewed by the teacher as a springboard for the next lesson.

Junior – Toddler Joyful Life features a unique built-in review to ensure that children remember previous lessons, and the Scriptural principles they have learned remain with them. Every lesson includes time for review and specific material for that time. This applies not only to the Bible lessons, but also to songs, verses, and Bible truths.

Hearts focused on God C

hurches of all sizes benefit from the Joyful Life Bible Study and Sunday School program. Beginning with Adult Bible Studies, Joyful Life’s organized, easy-to-follow program encourages individuals and churches to know God and love Him more. Inspiring studies present Bible truths so that Christians know what they believe and why they believe it. A variety of topics and themes keep studies interesting and applicable to daily living. Churches using Joyful Life learn and grow together to build spiritual maturity and unity in the church.

Choir Arrangements Vocal Collections

Teens, youth, children, and toddlers also grow in the knowledge and love of God with Joyful Life’s beautiful materials. We desire to reach these young lives for the Lord and train them in the Christian way of life.
