You're involved in so many types of photography, do you have a favorite?

The various types of photography genres, which I work in are: Under water; Film & TV; Weddings; Portraits; & Catalog. They all are my favorites – I love photographing in all of these areas.

Are there any sorts of shoots you are itching to do?

They are two photo shoots that I am itching to do. The first is a “Bride Lost At Sea” – OK – let me explain! I want to photograph a bride in a vintage wedding dress, who appears to be lost at sea. Kind of like a “Trash-The-Dress” VS. ”Pirates-Of-The-Caribbean” or like “Disney’s Haunted Mansion” under water. I know that sounds strange, but I love the eeriness of it! My second shoot I would love to do, is actually filming & photography. I have written a movie script about the lives of mermaids throughout years, and I am working on getting it filmed and produced for distribution.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

*** The thing I enjoy most about my job is … People. I LOVE people. When I photograph them, I see their passions and dreams, peering out through their eyes. The lens doesn’t lie and all people are beautiful. There was an old taboo saying, “the camera would steal a person’s soul”. I believe the camera allows a person to share their heart. Their soul stays within themselves. When I photograph a person, who has lost their self-esteem or confidence, and don’t like the way they look, I do little “touch-ups” to their images, in photoshop, showing them their true beauty. When my clients walk away with their images, my goal is for them to see their true selves – the way other people see them … beautiful. Contact Tammy’s studio to book a 'production' of your own
