Although the inflatables can be pretty fun toys, here at JP-Australia we take the inflatable SUP boards seriously. That is why we decided to work only with the best materials and give you an amazing product. Our inflatable SUPs come in the most advanced drop-stitch construction available and are therefore considerably stiffer as well as up to 5kg/11lbs lighter than many comparable boards out there. What is the point of having a board that you can pack in a back pack if you can’t pick up that backpack afterwards? When it comes to performance we were amazed with the GPS speed comparison test between the inflatables and their epoxy siblings as results are almost evened out. All our boards work great for the whole family. Soft pads cover the whole standing area making them very comfortable. Thanks to the inflatable technology you can‘t hurt yourself with the board. No matter if you might fall on them or might get hit by them when tumbled in a wave. They all come with a towing D-ring on the bottom of the nose (except RACAIR ) which works great to tow them at low speeds - even if someone is sitting on them. CRUISAIR, SPORTSTAIR and RIVAIR also come with a deck bungee to tie things onto the board - great for a day on the water or an extended tour. They all include a backpack, pump and repair kit.

RACAIR 12‘6“x25“x6“ As the inflatable SUPs are becoming a major part of the race scene we decided to create a dedicated RACAIR board. After the initial tests we were blown away with the results. This board performs pretty close to its carbon counterparts, but without all the transportation hassles. You never have to worry about trying to check in a 4 meter monster in order to get to your race, just roll it up in a backpack. Due to its flat bottom the stability of the 25 inch wide board is amazing. No extra D-rings or bungee cords, no gimmicks, just race.
RACAIR SPORTSTAIR 12’6“x29“x6“ Fairly stable and super-fast board. This great compromise between RACAIR and CRUISAIR is 6“ (15 cm) thick and very stiff. It works well in flat water, rough conditions or for down winders.

AIR SUPS You want to get the same rush SUPing on inland waters as the wave SUPers have on their ideal dream breaks in tropical destinations? A truly exciting and thrilling adventure lies ahead of you because with the RIVAIR you can go radical and hit some big foam rollers and steam down fast moving waters. We have been working on a dedicated white water board with experienced white water SUP riders from France, USA and Austria. It is 9‘6“x35“x6“ with a rather pointy and rockered nose to go through white water with ease. The super stable 35 inch width was agreed to be the best size among all riders involved in the development. The RIVAIR features a quad setup with four 3,0“ short soft fins (fixed) so that it can go even through really shallow water and be directional while you do not have to worry about breaking a fin. Additionally we decided to also add a central large fin (removable) so that the board can be used as a recreational big SUP. The D-ring is placed on top of the nose as a precaution that it does not catch anything through the shallows. Apart from the standard leash D-ring on the tail we added four additional D-rings with a bungee cord on deck for on-board storage. A new board for a new thrill in SUPing! Try to exploit new territories so far exclusively reserved for the wild water kayak paddlers. The rivers lie there for you ready to be challenged – and with the necessary precaution you can feel like an ancient discoverer of new worlds.

In 2013 we have built a strong team of SUP surfers with Keahi De Aboitiz, Geoff Breen and Jackson Close and together with great input from Kauli Seadi and Jason Polakow we were really able to push the development of the SURF line to the extremes for 2014. The level that those guys are at is demanding for smaller and more radical shapes and therefore for 2014 we developed three new sizes; 8’2”x28”, 8’0”x27” and even 7’4”x27”.

The whole range is based on radical surf board designs adapted and adjusted for the needs of SUP. Each size has a specific bottom shape concept suited to the size. They are equipped with a narrower nose section, higher entry and extra rocker for real surf board feeling. The more pulled-in pointy nose section does not limit the rider in radical bottom turns as its combination with the fast scoop rocker line develops heaps of drive. Thin smooth rails slice effortless through the water surface and provide amazing grip. This in combination with the accelerating tail kick gives the boards an incredible loose ride. Our unique fin angle concept has proved to be unmatched when it comes down to speed necessary for either catching waves or busting aerials. The whole range comes with an FCS plug in the nose to attach your GoPro camera. All boards come with a thruster setup and also feature a mastfoot insert to attach a windsurf rig and are great windsurfing wave boards. The PRO layup of our SURF and SURF WIDE BODY boards has no carbon as we believe that carbon makes the boards too stiff for the surf. We have kept a natural flex pattern with strategic dual density sandwich layup and optimizing of the fiber direction. Importantly, our PRO boards are the lightest boards on the market that come with a deck pad.

7‘4“X31“ We all would love to ride those 8‘0“x26“ boards with 90 liters as they turn incredibly radical. But what about paddling out and in general just standing on 90 liters without being on a wave? We realized that most of us simply can‘t handle such really small, tippy boards and came up with the SURF WIDE BODY concept. They turn really tight and are also very stable. Every slightly advanced wave SUPer can handle them - in fact he will love them. They are short, compact shapes which are very stable and offer immediate success in the waves.

The length of the board was always the limitation when riding beach breaks and steeper sections. Therefore we worked on a board range that is very short, compact and has the ability to carve super tight turns. We kept the stability you need in mind while standing in the lineup and especially paddling your way out through the white water.
The bottom is equipped with a mono concave nose section running into a flat V which increases towards the tail for additional rail rocker.
The shapes feature a flat deck, especially in the standing area. The rails bevel off to achieve the thin rail radius every rider dreams off during radical wave rides. Even though the boards are rather wide they give you the feeling of using a “short board”.
Everybody who tried one wants one. Jason Polakow originally said: „What do you want with that fat baby?“ He tried them in a small break on Maui and immediately ordered them for his personal use.
This board range breaks boundaries and brings everyone to the next level of waveSUPing. Intermediate wave SUPers and experts will enjoy them alike.
The quad fin setup supports the radical performance. Even when the board is fully railed up you still have two fins driving you through the turns.

FUSION WAVE ORIENTED ALL-ROUND BOARDS These multi-purpose SUPs have a different shape concept and are slightly more wave oriented than the JP ALLROUND boards. They are shorter, wider and have more volume. They also feature more pointy noses which gives them a modern surf board look. The boards come with a step deck which allows keeping lots of volume while still having nice thin rails. The bottom shapes of the 9‘8“ and 10‘2“ feature a single concave throughout running into a V towards the tail. Their noses create efficient lift and the rails produce good bite during turns. Quite a bit of nose rocker makes them fit well into the waves.
The 10‘8“x34“ has a slight single concave in the center of the board which runs into an increasing V towards the tail. The V in the tail helps to rail up this big and wide board when going down a wave. The sleek designs carry the volume and width in all the right places for a stable paddle platform. Compared to the JP ALLROUNDs as well as to most other all-round boards they are a more wave oriented and therefore have slightly less directional stability.
The FUSIONs are really easy to ride and turn and they work in any kind of conditions. They work for any level of SUPer from beginners to flat water cruisers as well as for first time wave riders and wave experts. The Wood Sandwich Gloss and Wood Sandwich come with a thruster setup and FCS nose plugs for your GoPro camera. The AST models come as single fin versions. The Soft Deck version comes with a plastic fin thruster setup.

UNLIMITED RANGE OF USE The range of use of those longboard style SUPs is simply amazing. They work great for SUP beginners, flat water cruisers, first time wave SUPers and for wave experts. They are super easy to ride and turn, surprisingly fast and work in pretty much any condition. GENERAL SHAPE FEATURES A concave nose, based on longboard designs, creates more lift when touching the water and avoids nose diving. Very round rails and tuck, like surfboards. When standing in the middle of the board, the relatively flat deck curve makes it easy to keep the balance during paddling. Based on classic long board designs it is the perfect combination of easy paddling, stability and maneuverability. The narrow tail, in combination with increased V, makes them very loose and responsive. A flat deck curve gives the rider confidence when paddling and the stability needed to cross the breaking waves. They are great windsurf beginner and CRUISER boards as well as light wind wave boards. ALLROUND 11‘2“x30“ The length in combination with 30“ width guarantees stability and directional traction whilst paddling in a straight line. The smooth bottom curve provides good glide and, in combination with the increasing tail kick, easy turning for wave action. A great shape that suits all riding styles in most conditions. ALLROUND 11‘8“x31“ Very stable and versatile, making it the perfect beginner board! Because of its long waterline it is an excellent glider for open ocean, rivers, inner city waterways or lakes. The 31“ width and the slightly fuller rails make it so stable that catching a wave is child‘s play. Despite its large size this board is very maneuverable. A smooth rocker allows the board to turn tightly enough to carve out a wave face. A sharper tuck line in the tail area gives the board enough traction to be used as a windsurfer! Just rig up and cruise around. This is the ideal all-round board for resorts and windsurf centers. Fun to use with or without wind; whether paddling or sailing, the whole family can get on and play. ALLROUND 12‘0“x32,5“ We took the 12‘0“ to the next level of big. It has same maneuverable features of its smaller ALLROUND brothers with the bonus of generous 217 liters of volume. GIRL POWER For 2014 we have involved a great group of ladies to design with us a specific women’s SUP line. Everyone was in favor of giving the line a little more diversity and to offer the girls an opportunity to choose a shape to their particular SUP preferences. The whole range comes with a FCS plug in the nose to attach a GoPro camera. They also come with a mastfoot insert to attach a windsurf rig. We have a Venus 8’10’’ which is a dedicated surf SUP shape with a narrower nose section, with higher entry and extra rocker. Towards the back the board has a pulled-in outline with increased V. This board is for the advanced SUP surfer girls who will enjoy the vertical turns and surfboard style ripping that the 8’10” offers! The 9’8” is a surfy-all-round shape that performs equally well in the surf as well as in the directional paddling from light weight beginners to performance surfers. It features a single concave throughout running into a V towards the tail. The 11’2” is a classic longboard style board that offers great directional performance as well as the cool and easy first steps in the world of SUP surfing.

FAST AND FUN The perfect all-round cruising and touring boards. The boards come with a displacement bow flowing into a flat gliding bottom with soft rails. This creates a long efficient water line offering a superior paddling sensation on flat water - all on a very stable platform. We call them CRUISERs but they are amazingly fast. Our shaper Werner Gnigler simply knows how to make things fast. Many will use them for racing as well. Not limited to flat water cruising and racing, these boards are also great for open ocean cruises and races as they are so stable. Catching surf easily the cruiser generates impressive speed gliding on the ocean swells. As soon as the swell backs off the displacement bow comes into play slicing through the water, reducing paddle efforts.

RACE / SPORTSTER CONCEPT 2014 For 2014 we have developed a new concept for displacement speed machines. Alongside the four new dedicated race shapes, we have four shapes of slightly wider race siblings – the SPORTSTERs. The SPORTSTERs can be either a no-compromise full-on race boards for the bigger guys or relaxed touring shapes for the lighter SUPers. In both, the RACE and the SPORTSTER group we decided to create flat water and all water versions for the 12’6’’ and the 14’0” class. The RACE and SPORTSTERs feature the same respective dedicated waterlines but differ in width. The SPORTSTERs come in affordable Wood Sandwich technology as well as in full Carbon wrap technology while the RACE shapes come exclusively in the no-compromise full Carbon wrap technology.

With the SPORTSTER FLAT WATER we introduced a new board concept: A user-friendly race board, designed as the perfect vehicle for distance paddling in calm water. For most amateur racers they will be faster than full-on race boards as they are more stable and easier to handle than race boards. Furthermore for the big guys they will work better than the RACEs due to the added stability of the wider shape. They work great in anything from really flat water to slightly choppy conditions. They feel at home on lakes, rivers and the ocean and are fantastic for core work out and fitness paddling. Based on race board designs they come with a low displacement piercing nose which cuts through the water like a knife. As the scoop rocker line is based on the RACE concept it provides for the maximum waterline. The thin hull ensures a low standing position, which allows you to transfer all the paddling power into a forward momentum. The rounded rails are forgiving, and do not get affected by sideways chop or wind.

SPORTSTER - ALL WATER When we developed the new RACE ALL WATER we figured out that this board concept is fantastic for the costal environment and we need to come up with a user friendlier version by just adding the overall width. Paddling in the ocean is one of the most popular environments to take SUP boards these days not to mention the popular concept of costal downwind paddle runs. The SPORTSTER ALL WATER‘s primary goal is to be able to take advantage of the open ocean swells. It must be easy to catch a swell while maintaining speed to stay upon them, navigating them as long as possible and connect easily to the next swell. The SPORTSTER ALL WATER has a lot more overall curve compared to its flat water sibling.

SUP racing has become very specialized and depending on the conditions you need a suitable board to achieve the desired results one is looking for. Compromise is never an option and will not get you the win. We developed 2 sizes of the RACE FLAT WATER, the 14‘x24.5“ and the 12‘6“x25“. The RACE FLAT WATER 14‘ offers more stability due to its length - as a result, the overall width could be reduced slightly to maximize the speed of the board. The new race boards come with a distinguishable narrower nose section. The sharp piercing nose is able to cut through the water’s surface, offering the longest possible waterline. With the use of a long water line, these RACE boards are able to produce and attain maximum speeds with every paddle stroke, thus creating a better overall and efficient board. Another cutting edge feature of the new RACE boards is the dome deck of the nose. It adds lots of volume to the nose and allows the side winds and waves to flow over the deck radius without interfering with your paddling direction.
In addition to be effective in all conditions, if the nose gets pushed under water it will pop out immediately displacing the water as it runs off instantly and the board is able to continue without being submerged. The mid-section of the board has a sunk-in cockpit with a flat V bottom shape providing maximum stability for the rider. The scoop rocker line in this area is kept rather flat to enable the hull to maintain high speeds over a longer time. A parallel outline in the mid-section tapers down to a narrow tail. The flat scoop rocker line from the mid-section of the board increases to a reasonable tail kick. These two design features guarantee a clean water release with minimum drag. The cross section of the board has been designed that no water will stay on the deck and can run off immediately. For these new shapes, the effective design doesn‘t need drainpipes. Utilizing all the most cutting edge features of modern day SUP racing, this is a dedicated race board which is the perfect tool for winners!

RACE - ALL WATER The RACE ALL WATER is the perfect tool for all kinds of competition formats which pop up around the world. Not just down wind races, also races where you have to go through breaking waves on the way out and try to surf them on the way in. The RACE ALL WATER‘s primary goal is to take advantage of the open ocean swells. It must be easy to catch a swell while maintaining speed to ride it as long as possible and to connect easily to the next swell. The bottom curve of the board needs to fit in between the swells thus creating a constant slope which keeps the board moving at all times efficiently with speed and precision to avoid ever coming to a halt.
The displacement bow has been rounded off to create instant lift - if the nose does get submerged, the rounded deck quickly allows the water to run off the deck immediately and the board is able to continue gliding on the water’s surface. On the RACE ALL WATER only the very front part of the board has a sharp piercing section which punches through a swell that is too steep to glide over. The thin profile of the board and the flat deck ensure a low standing position. This, combined with the extra width, provides immense stability. The wider tail section complements the rider’s ability to catch every swell possible. You’ll find sufficient standing area to move around and to steer the board through the surf with ease. Round rails make the boards very forgiving. They won’t catch on fast glides and turning becomes very easy.
Therefore the RACE ALL WATER has a lot more overall curve compared to its flat water sibling.
