The Columbus Museum of Industrial Innovation encapsulates the community’s strong legacy while progressing to the future through a universal experience. The simple Exterior design precedes the flexible spaces inside varying in size. Sights and sounds of historic industrial factories resonate within exhibits taking people back to the formwork of Columbus. The Columbus Museum of Industrial Innovation gives visitors a unique inclusive experience.

The symphony hall project can be considered a conflictual participation between the program and building form. While we negotiate our initial concept with our growing understanding of the required program, we resolve conflicts through pushing and pulling ideas, spaces and concepts.

In each location or situation the architect needs to analyze the condition and find the other pieces of the puzzle. Every city is a collage of buildings where an architect can imagine what do to. Bad situations may need a new piece of context.

Joseph Copley LEED Green Associate

My passion for architecture derives from a desire to create unique, condition specific experiences in the built world. It is the excitement of engaging a space that drives my passion to design. I will be graduating Cum Laude from Iowa State University with a Bachelors of Architecture degree in May, 2013. I have attained minors in the College of Business as well as Digital Media to supplement my education. My intern experience, organizational involvment and academic success has prepared me for the professional world. Upon graduation I am excited to continue building on my architectural experience while gaining a lasting relationship with a prestigious midwest firm.
