Hollywood Hills of the Sunshine Coast

Delicia Road, Mapleton.

High in the Hinterland sits an enclave of 30+ acre properties that have taken about 45 years for the owner to design and create the layouts for after painstakingly walking every inch of what was 500 acres and thinking about how people could benefit from the lay of the land, the unlimited supply of spring-fed water right across the property along with a lifestyle that not only presents privacy, peace and solitude, but gives the access needed to each other should the need arise at any time.

And that is exactly what he created out of the property that was always affectionately known simply as “The 500”.

What he could not predict was the exclusiveness the undertaken provided for each lot and the realisation that what was a forestry for milling timber was to become a national park.

What he did realise and count on was the extremely magnificent views over the Obi Obi and Kenilworth valleys providing stunning changes in colour throughout the year and settings of the sun along with the mystique of the rising fogs from the valleys below and within the property itself. Hence what was simply “The 500” where cattle grazing replaced the logging of long ago, has been designed, crafted and realigned into what could become known as the Hollywood Hills of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
