Who should providers contact to discuss events and options? Providers can speak to our careers leader, Mr. D Brennan, to discuss possible attendance at relevant events. The school lead for Safeguarding is Mr Leon Brown and/ or School Manager Mrs Madeleine Harman who will act as the initial point of contact for facilitating providers to have access into school as visitors to talk to our students. Our Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy and Guest Speaker Policy set out the school’s approach to allowing providers into school to speak to our pupils.
Premises and facilities The school will make the main hall, classrooms or private meeting rooms available for discussions between the provider and students, as appropriate to the activity. The school will also make available any specialist equipment to support provider presentations. This will all be discussed and agreed in advance of the visit with Mrs M Harman (School Manager) and Mr Brennan and appropriate declarations need to be completed by visitors beforehand. Providers are welcome to leave a copy of their prospectus and other relevant course literature with the Mrs Janet Syme at the school library or at reception. The library is available to all students at lunch and break times.
Approval and review This policy statement was approved by the governing board’s curriculum and standards committee on date. The next review will take place on Dec 2019. Signed: _______________________Chair of Governors
