Mount Nittany Health - Cardiovascular Pavilion State College, PA
• Two-story, $20 million, 69,500 SF Medical Office Building addition that revitalized the hospital’s image • Phase I and II included primary pare, specialty care, cardiology, pulmonology, physical and occupational therapies with work hardening, cardiac rehabilitation, pediatrics, pharmacy, infusion and behavioral health • Phase III included a café, gift shop, remodel of rehabilitation services and radiology
• $15 million, 26,000 SF expansion to facilitate growing cardiovascular and electrophysiology program • Cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures accommodated in two flexdesigned labs, electrocardiogram (EKG) exam room, four echocardiography/stress test exam rooms, eight prep/recovery bays (three private bays) • Construction began in August and is being built on top of Emergency Department
JC Blair Memorial Hospital - Cath Lab and Edoscopy Suite Huntingdon, PA

• Two-story, 64,000 SF Outpatient Center including a 10,000 SF addition • Consolidated seven hospital departments into the Outpatient Center including Physical Therapy, and several Physician Office Clinics • Included sky lights and clerestory windows to introduce natural light into the treatment areas and as a way-finding mechanism • Suites are accessible from the main entrance and secondary entrances used for branding
• New vascular operating roon to provide advanced surgical capabilities with the integration of new imaging equipment • Complete renovation of existing operating room with reconfiguration of adjacent support spaces to add a new control room and equipment room • Coordination of new imaging equipment, anesthesia booms, lighting booms and video integration drove the design of the project

“SWEET SPOT” At JPT, our team of Architects and Engineers have completed every type of hospital department and healthcare setting project many times over. Not only do we have an expanded variety of healthcare project experience, but we have also completed projects across the country. Although JPT has the capability to take on pretty much any type healthcare project, we do have some healthcare project specialties that we consider our “sweet spot”. Additionally, our “sweet spot” when it comes to total construction budget is a maximum of around $25 million. With that said, we never consider a project “too small”. We have done equipment replacements with a construction budget of $50,000 and completely new facilities close to our maximum. When teaming with another architectural or MEP engineering firm, we could raise that maximum $25 million sweet spot somewhere to fit a new maximum number that is suitable for the client and partnering firm.

MEP ENGINEERING INTEGRATION To ensure a project delivery model that maximizes value and exceeds expectations, JPT offers seamless integration of MEP Engineering along with our Architectural services. Our internal engineering team streamlines the decision making process, allowing for better coordination and early evaluation of both the design’s energy efficient as well as how the system support the architecture. From Early in the programming and design phases all the way through construction administration, our MEP team of experts brings wealth of insight to our projects. At JPT, we pay as much attention to the building elements you don’t see as we do to the ones that meet the eye. Although, JPT offers a fully integrated Architectural and MEP Engineering service to our clients, we are open to teaming with other firms from both perspectives.
