GoodZone Altoon + Porter Moscow, Russia GoodZone is a 90,000sm shopping and entertainment centre located in Moscow, Russia. Within the 3-story complex there is mixed-retail, a food court and cinema. I came onto the project during the design development phase. My role on the project was to produce and update the CAD drawings, incorporate lighting designs from KGM Lighting into our drawings and coordinate with ADB (the local architect). The design process is different for projects in Russia, as final review of the construction documents doesn’t happen until after construction. Due to this, I was updating according to the changes made during construction. Other responsibilities included checking GOST certification for proposed materials and fixtures, building a detailed 3d model in SketchUp to send out for renderings and redlining the images as they came back. I would also run test plots and review for quality control and issue ASIs as needed for minor changes.

16 Hectares Altoon + Porter Kiev, Ukraine 16 Hectares is a 83,000sm shopping centre that is adjacent to existing retail. Included in the project is mixed retail and a food court. I worked on this project from concept through schematic design. My contribution to the team was to gather the initial site analysis information, produce and revise the CAD drawings, check service route and loading docks with AutoTurn, and updates to the SketchUp model. I also prepared the deliverables for delivery to the client.

Big City Business Centre Altoon + Porter Moscow, Russia One of our clients was considering a possible business centre, and asked us if we could put together some proposals for the project. Working together with a lead designer, I put together four massing studies in SketchUp based on sketches I was provided. Proposals varied from 60,000sm to 206,000sm with different densities of development. A parking structure was included, along with delivery and drop off points. I've included two of the four proposals.

Museum of Digital Arts Undergraduate Studio Los Angeles, California, USA This was my final studio project during my undergrad at University of Southern California under Prof. Amy Murphy. The site sits between the Hollywood Freeway, Ahmanson Theatre, and across from the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angeles. I proposed a digital arts museum which included a cinema, restaurants and sensory garden for the site. My goal was to extend the periods of occupancy of the area by filling needs of existing users, as well as bring new patrons to the area. I took cues from the surrounding buildings for my design, exposing the structure to continue the rhythm of the neighboring historic theater while introducing angles to make the entrance more dynamic and welcoming. I provided a sound barrier along the freeway, while opening up interior to a light well to allow controlled natural light since the digital art does not require the typically strict museum-level UV protection.
