(ASAN, GUAM (MAY 24, 2021) - REAR ADM. JOHN MENONI, COMMANDER, JOINT REGION MARIANAS (JRM), PRESENTS THE JRM STUDENT EXCELLENCE AWARD TO GUAM HIGH SCHOOL (GHS) STUDENT NELEH-JAN LEON GUERRERO AT JRM HEADQUARTERS.

Leon Guerrero holds a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 4.1. She has completed courses in advanced placement (AP) statistics, language, and composition.

She plans to continue her education through college and aspires to become a nurse. She credits her mother, a special education teacher, as her greatest source of inspiration. This is the 22nd annual presentation of the JRM Student Excellence Award. All GHS juniors with a 3.0 cumulative GPA or better were eligible to compete for the award. The winning student receives a special certificate and the student’s name is displayed on a commemorative plaque at the school for years Recognizing Excellence to come.
