E&S Wood Creations has been crafting quality furniture in rural Indiana since 1987. In our 11,000 square foot production facility, we use modern tools and equipment to create our bedroom and office furniture, but we also honor our Amish traditions by giving each piece hands-on attention. The result of select grade wood, quality hardware, carefully fitted parts and attention to detail is furniture worth the wait and likely to be passed along to heirs for generations to come. Most pieces are available in Oak, Cherry, Rustic Cherry, Brown Maple, Hard Maple, Rustic Quartersawn White Oak, Hickory, Rustic Hickory, Walnut, or Grey Elm. Dear Valued Customer, A leader in the northern Indiana furniture industry, E&S Wood Creations was started in 1987. Early on, custom kitchen cabinets and custom furniture were the main focus. In the late 1990s as the whole sale market became a factor we altered our course and added bedroom furniture and office furnishings. Today, 27 years later, we still manufacture custom kitchens, bathrooms, many styles of bedroom furniture, office furnishings and now have added living room furniture that is of the same style and quality that you have come to expect from E&S. The Nature of Wood Much of the beauty of wood comes from its variation in color and grain, characteristics that make each piece of solid wood furniture unique. Even with the same building methods and finishing processes, no two pieces will be exactly the same. Most hardwoods are open grained, causing solid wood furniture, even with protective finishes, to expand and contract with changes in temperature and humidity. This can cause minor cracking and surface checks which are not considered flaws, but rather nature’s “beauty marks.” To minimize these effects, indoor humidity should be kept in the 35-40% range. Solid wood furniture should also be kept away from direct sources of heating and cooling, direct sunlight, and fluorescent lighting and should not be stored in attics or basements. When cared for properly your E&S furniture will become a piece of timeless beauty that will be treasured for generations.
