I have always wanted to raise a dog since I was little girl, but I can't. My parents don't want to do it. This little dream makes me love to observe every different dogs and illustrate them. They are kind, and they are people's best friends. All these dogs I illustrated is my family's and my friend's and my teacher's dog. They are really unforgettable and important. However, Some of them are no longer exist in this world, I want to remember them in my own way. By the way, I also make them as post cards or Christmas cards and send it to everyone I loved.
Unique and Unmatched Planet - The Illustration/Jr-Yeu Kuo
I think the reason why I always love to draw the topic about 'Love Earth' in my illustration works is because I have not only participated in several enviromental activities, but also worked for so many projects were related to environmental issues in my premier job. In my personal opinion, nothing is more important than our land and the Earth, so we should try our best to protect it. I want to convey some ideas about Environmental Protection, and some environmentally friendly ways, for instance, doing well recycling methods, using reusable goods, wearing sweater instead of wearing fur, and so on.

In these illustrations, I used watercolor painting at the beginning, and then made them into computer to process them. In my works, I love to try how to combine traditional painting method and techenologic painting way, and I felt interested in the courses.

In the Psalms chapter 84:6 Going through the valley of balsam-trees, they make it a place of springs; it is clothed with blessings by the early rain. During the period of painting this work, there were lots of tragedies in my country Taiwan. People were sad and hopeless, so I want to convey the message about Love. My creation concept is that there are lots of love in our tears. Although life is too short and difficult, we still need to look forward to the future with love and hope.

Drawing trees is one of my favorite things when I am painting. Trees are so vital and precious that I have already taken them as an essential element in my every works. Another reason I love trees so much might be that I major in Landscape Architecture department at university, and one of my courses is Botany, so I used to illustrate so many diffirent types of plants and trees in my class. Actually, In my opinion, trees are the gift from the God. Moreover, trees are just like the guardian for our enviroment, so all the human beings should protect trees.

There are so many hippopotamuses appeared in my works, because it is just like a symbol of me and my best friend. When I want to make some connections between myself and my works, I would use this character in my painting to stand for me and convey something interesting and funny or serious issues. The reason why I created this animal is that my best friend always calls me Hippo as a nickname, and in our opinion, we think hippo is a adorable creature. Both of us love it, and this animal has been the most important connection of us since we first met. Therefore, in my illustrations, I always draw the hippo in it.

Taiwan Agriculture Experience Acti Illustration & Graphic Design /Jr-Yeu Kuo This is a special case, and I coperated with the Council of Agriculture in Taiwan. I always want to draw a map for my country, and this project makes my dream come true. The purpose of this case is to promote special and interesting agriculture experience activities in Taiwan, and I have to use my illustration to introduce it to general public in a special way. Therefore, after I discussed with the team, we decided to draw a map.

World Map Details I painted this Sun-light coffee shop when I was only a college student. Owing to the proprietor told me she really loves my work. I really enjoy in this creating process, because I could decided everything by myself. The proprietor really trust me so that I can draw whatever I want that I think it is suitable for this coffee shop style. I appreciate her trust. However, the most special thing is that this shop is not only a coffee shop, because they also sale ‘Taiwan local style beef noodles‘. The proprietor want to combine these two kinds of food together, so when I painted I have to take this in my consideration.

Residential Garden Design Project This project is the first work in my shphomore and I was happy about that this work was praised by many professors. The design of this major building was based on a house in the U.S.A and I made some change on it. The design concept of the garden is that I want to continue the pattern of the major building from architecture into landscape design, and I designed a British style garden because I love the natural-pattern garden in the United Kingdom so much. It looks just like born in the nature and so pretty.

This work is my favorite work in my student era, and it was praised by many classmates and professors. I was proud of this work, and I think it can say something by itself because I have already made it very clearly and obviously I think. The concept of this work is the crying of our land. I made this design based on the famous painter, Edvard Munch (1863-1944), his work- The Scream(1893). I transformed it into landscape art and brought the idea about protection of our land and the Earth. I attempted to make it more educational and meaningful. Anyway, both of my advising professor and I thought it was a good try.

This site is a parking lot, and professors gave this project for us to practise about children’s playground design. In my Botanical Planning of this design project, I plant all the maple trees to increase color change and strengthen the image of ‘Global Warming’. What’s more, I designed some fake trees were made by steel in order to make a contrast with the real trees. In order to be more attentive, I made this entire playground and major-route can be accessible for wheelchair and baby carriage.

Final Version For The Competition This is the first time I participated in the National Student Landscape Design Competition, and it is a special experience for me. During the process, it was quite hard and tortuous with a succession of discussing with professors. I really learned a lot in this project. The concept of this project is to make a connection between the Internet and the reality, and through this connection was named ‘Passbook‘ to let people get close with Taiwanese traditional agriculture and local ecology issues. To plan a complete ecological travel route for people to use the Passbook to have a journey in local ecology enviroment By the way, it was really surprised me that this work can be winners.

The 'Green Hill Hot Spring Villa' Pla Section Manuscript
This is the first time our professors let us try to do a reality project. This site is in the National Yang-Ming Mountain Nat are many limit on this project. Moreover, there are many protection laws for mountains, therefore, I got to very cautious I used many wooden facilities in order not to broken the original looks of mountain, and I also tried to make every artifi natural and integrate. This is a villa where offered hot spring for visitors, so I planed some area for personal hot spring area (the small wooden hot spring area. From planning to design, it was a complete process to practise landscape plan in this project. And the B of this project, I kept all the original trees in this site.

'Old Street Stream' Waterfront Area P Design Progress
The site of this project is in Chungli City, Taoyuan County. It is a stream near a old street so named ‘Old Street Stream‘. This project is the second time to practise a reality case, it is difficult and hard, so taking us lots of time to study it. Because this work is a team work during the first study stage, we can learn many things not only from the project, but also from the team work cooperation. During next stage of the project, we have to find a partner and make planning together, and the major concept of our idea is to create the ‘Green Zone‘ and the ‘Blue Zone‘ for this waterfront space.

uring the process, it was endless drawing, again, and again, and again.
is work is the most tough and amazing one in my four years university student life. After finishing it, I just felt that y Graduate Design Project(G.D.P) almost had used entire energy of me. In the last year of college, every morning I ened my eyes, and the first thing to do is thinking about my G.D.P and discussing with my partner. I drew almost eryday, and sometimes, it really drived me crazy. We made so many paintings and study models, more than I could emorize. Every month we had to give a presentation to every professors once, and every week we had to discuss th our advising professor more than twice. It was quite pressured for every students. uring this precious year, I had learned many things and knowledge. Honestly, I think it was the most rich and unforttable year of my college memory. I was forced to a whole new level and I appreciated for that.

During the edition process, it was totally carzy and tired, but we all have learned many things, for example, we went to the print factory to understand how to make a book. And we were so lucky that we cooperated with a great publishing house, they helped us a lot. By the way, I also designed the cover for this book, and the reason why is that my cover design was the highest number of votes by my classmates.

‘Starry Night Cafeteria’ is a environmental activity project was hosted by my company, and I was the major designer for this project. During the process, it was quite interesting, and all the elements of this activity, especailly its name, really helps me a lot when I did the graphic design. I love this work very much, and I am so glad that almost all people come to this activity love it, too. Everytime people talk about ‘Starry Night‘,I always make a connection with Vincent Williem van Gogh(1853-1890). His paint is extremely amazing so that I used his idea to made this key visual. All works for this project was based on it. I really appreciated him- a legend in the art history.

I am really satisfied of this graphic work, and both my company and activity participant thought it is satisfying as well. I am so glad that almost everyone think this invitation is a great design.
