Canadian Pacific Road Number CP Alnwick
This heavyweight diner car is olive green with gold lettering. Originally delivered to the Oregon & California Railroad in 1927, it was renumbered to Southern Pacific Railroad in 1928. In March 1958 the car was retired as a diner, then in July the car was moved to maintenance of way service as Southern Pacific #MW7068.

This heavyweight diner car is painted maroon with buff lettering. Built in 1931 by Angus Shops as one of eight ‘A’ series dining cars. It seats 36 for dining and had ice-activated air conditioning installed in 1936. The cooking fuel is coal. In 1950 CP owned 97 dining cars.

Maine Central Road Number MEC 6336
This 40’ double-sheathed wood box car with single door is painted red with white herald and lettering and runs on Bettendorf trucks. In 1961 GN refitted 12 cars from series 45000 - 52999 with roof hatches and numbered them 21950 - 21961.They were reclassified LC and used to transport foundry sand. They were used in dedicated service for Del Monte Properties at Valley, WA.
This 40’ standard box car with single door, full ladders and no roofwalk is green with orange logo and lettering. Built in 1951 as part of series 6101-6494 by Pullman, it was rebuilt in 1972. It ran the Northeastern district through the early 80’s on Bettendorf trucks.

New York, New Haven & Hartford Road Number NH 35172 This 40’ standard box car with single door is painted brown with white herald and lettering. Built in 1948 at the Michigan City plant as part of series 35000-35999, it ran on Bettendorf trucks.

WWII Nose ‘Surprise Attack’ Road Number 667421
Soo Line Road Number 99085
This 50’ flat Car is painted olive drab with white lettering and carries a 40’ gray container featuring ‘Surprise Attack’ art. Like many planes in WWII, this B-24 bomber was decorated with custom artwork by its pilot to personalize the plane. The ‘Surprise Attack’ B-24 bomber was part of the 14th Air Force, the 308th Bomb Group and 374th Squadron. The original panel displaying this art is at the American Airpower Heritage Museum in Midland, TX.
This 34’ wood sheathed caboose with straight cupola is red with white lettering. Built by Haskell & Baker for Wisconsin Central in 1909, it was later leased to Soo Line and renumbered to #99085.

Burlington Northern Road Numbers BN 602639/ 602658 These 50’ flat cars with straight sides and side mount brake wheel are painted green with white herald and lettering. Built in 1960 as part of series 602600-602699 they ran on Bettendorf trucks. Burlington Northern is the longest railroad in North America. It’s longer than any of the ‘super seven’ railroads, having 23,356 operating route miles.

Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Road Number ATSF 14066 This 40’ Hy-Cube box Car wtih single door is painted red with white lettering. Part of series 14000-14068 this 40-foot hy-cube was built by Transco for the Santa Fe in March 1967. These excess height cars were assigned to appliance loading on the Penn Central and have white end paint to call attention to their excess height.

Conrail Road Numbers 9590/9594 These powered SW1500 locomatives are painted blue with white lettering. The EMD SW1500 was a 1,500 hp diesel locomotive intended for switching service and was built by General Motors’ Electro-Motive Division.

Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Road Numbers ATSF 151923/151951 Built in 1977 by FMC Portland, Oregon as part of series 151900-152099, these 50’ rib side box cars without roofwalk have shock control, nailable steel floor and lading anchors. They bear the white Santa Fe Circle/Cross logo with Yellow “Super Shock Control” and white lettering.

Burlington Northern Road Numbers BN 124345/124340 These 40’ standard box cars with single doors are painted green with white lettering. Originally built by the CB&Q in 1957 as part of the CB&Q 62500-63999 series, these cars have been assigned to hide loading. They have top hatches (hence, the AAR mechanical designation of “LC”) and are steel lined.
